Dolly Parton has passed away today at 80 years old 🕊️

Few entertainers ever become as universally loved as Dolly. She came from poverty in the mountains of Tennessee and somehow built a seven-decade career that reached far beyond country music.

She gave the world songs like Jolene, Coat of Many Colors, 9 to 5, and I Will Always Love You, became a successful actress and businesswoman, and used her success to give millions of children books through the Imagination Library.

We just lost the voice of Martha Kent and one of Elvis Presley’s leading ladies today, at the age of 82. 😔

Shelley Fabares, best known as Mary Stone on The Donna Reed Show and Christine Armstrong on Coach, has passed away at 82. Her family confirmed that she died Saturday in Los Angeles, remembering her as a source of love, laughter, strength, and comfort to those around her.

Fabares first became a household name as a teenager on The Donna Reed Show before scoring the No. 1 hit “Johnny Angel.” She later starred opposite Elvis Presley in Girl Happy, Spinout, and Clambake, appeared as Francine Webster on One Day at a Time, and earned two Emmy nominations for Coach.

Animation fans may also remember her as Martha Kent, Superman’s adoptive mother, a role she voiced across Superman: The Animated Series, Justice League, and Superman: Brainiac Attacks.

From classic television and music to Elvis films and the DC Animated Universe, Shelley Fabares left behind a career that touched several generations.

Rest in peace, Shelley Fabares. Your warmth and talent will continue living through the characters, songs, and stories you left behind. 🕊️
