📢 The House of Lords will be voting on new laws to change the way pregnant people & primary carers are sentenced❗️
So on Saturday 4 December, we’re holding a rally in St. James’s Park, London to say loud and clear: PREGNANT WOMEN NEED SUPPORT, NOT SENTENCING‼️
@MOTSI_MABUSE I hope this has been reported to the RSPCA and they are investigating. She should be charged and not allowed to have horses or any other animals.
📣 RT 📣 Join us at St. James’s Park @ 3pm NEXT TUESDAY (26 Oct) for a child-friendly rally ft. some incredible campaign speakers!
As the sentencing bill continues to move through the Lords, NOW is the time to show up & push for change in the way pregnant people are sentenced‼️
Great to see children are invited to come along to visits this week in their school uniform if they wish to have a photo opportunity with their loved one!
@KeeganSmith_Law No one should be impressed on the basis they are homeless. Local authorities have a responsibility to accommodate homeless individuals. Case should be adjourned for court social worker to liaise with their colleagues in housing services to arrange accommodation. Straightforward
Discharge grants of around £75 are provided to all sentenced prisoners on release. Prisoners released from remand receive no financial support and will typically wait at least 4 weeks for benefit payments to be reinstated. #DemandLessRemand @KeithBrownSNP @COPFS@scottishprisons
