Rather than giving the green light to bee-killing pesticides, the Government should be supporting farmers to take up more nature-friendly farming practices instead. Read more about this in our latest blog 👉 https://t.co/6cvGKkzKqv (4/4)

@philsturgeon@Rosewood_Farm Teamwork makes the dream work. The support from @Nectar_Network has been key. Like minded bodies to help with the work and that crucial bit of advice when needed. Not to mention shared costs. Sounds familiar!
Fantastic visit to @PinmoreLow where Amy& Craig are working with @Nectar_Network to plant/restore hedgerows! They are embracing a messy hedge & seeing benefits to wildlife 🤩 Great opportunities for Ayrshire farmers to get assistance to plant hedges, trees & create meadows🌳🐝🐄
Hay making complete. 2.5 acres cleared for wildflower meadow in partnership with Nectar Network using a seed mix specially designed for grazing animals based on mg5 and 6 grasslands. Sweetcorn harvest now begins!
It's our annual cut the field & hope for hay time 🌞 This year we cut late, kept away from the edges, left an acre unmown, & mowed outwards to help improve wildlife chances & encourage more of it for future photobombing. Thanks Alan Caldwell 👍

The Red-tailed Mason bee, not to be confused with its cousin, the Red Mason bee, can be found here at Lackford Lakes. She is a very special bee because she nests inside empty snail shells. Here, she can be seen repositioning her chosen empty snail shell that she has found.
Rediscovered this old photo from my childhood. Kudos to our neighbours in Germany at that time for having absolutely no fear of dandelions. Grateful for the inspiration #lifegoals#PerfectforPollinators#wildflowers 🦋🐛🐝🐞🪰
