While in most countries kindergartens are associated with play, learning, and children’s first friendships, in Ukraine the first concern is safety. The first underground kindergarten has opened in the Kharkiv region. It also serves as a radiation shelter and is designed to operate autonomously during air raid alerts. This is yet another illustration of the realities Ukrainians face during the war. To protect #UkrainianChildren and restore their access to in-person education, educational facilities have to be built underground, as at least 4,607 educational institutions, including preschools, have been damaged as a result of Russia’s aggression.

На Харківщині відкрили перший підземний дитячий садок, який одночасно є протирадіаційним укриттям і здатний автономно працювати під час повітряних загроз. Це ще одна ілюстрація українських реалій під час війни. Щоб забезпечити безпеку #УкраїнськіДіти та повернути їм можливість навчатися офлайн, доводиться створювати освітні заклади під землею. In light of the recent data breach of Ksenia Sobchak’s media empire, Ostorozhno Media, exposing her as working directly with Russian authorities, I want to remind everyone that this ✨️article ✨️ exists.

​The Kremlin keeps sending stool pigeons to the West, and Western media publishes every piece of Russian propaganda they are given and hungrily asks for more.

​Every person with knowledge of the region (or more than two living brain cells) told the NYT that they were platforming a propagandist at the time the article was released. Did they listen? Nope.

​Meanwhile, the interesting things we are finding out from the data breach include groveling to Kremlin censors, namely Sergey Novikov, head of the Kremlin’s Presidential Directorate for Social Projects; hard-core self-censorship on the fuel crisis in Russia; scolding her chief news editor for publishing bad remarks about Russian messenger Max, an FSB project to keep the Russian internet space under control; long talks with Margarita Simonyan; funding from the Moscow Mayor's office and state-backed corporations; and many, many more interesting things exposing Ksenia herself and her media as a complete and total Kremlin tool.

​Yet, does the Western media learn anything from this? Nope. The Economist article with Russian oligarch Andrey Melnichenko shows exactly how much nonsense they are ready to swallow if you wave a chance to write a ✨️sensation✨️ in front of their noses.

​Maybe it's time to stop and think about whether your sensationalism feeds your own citizens with foreign propaganda and helps an invading state wage a war and keep murdering civilians daily?

💔 Russian forces strike Druzhkivka in Donetsk Oblast daily with guided bombs, artillery and drones. FPV drones hunt virtually any vehicle moving through the city or on the surrounding roads.

Relentless attacks have heavily damaged Druzhkivka. Constant shelling has left it without electricity, running water, and gas. Before the Russian invasion, nearly 54,000 people lived here. Today, only a few thousand remain.

First underground kindergarten in Ukraine opens in Kharkiv region.

​Designed for 260 children, the facility features a bomb shelter capable of housing up to 1,000 people.

​Children in frontline regions, including Kharkiv, have been cut off from in-person education and daycare since Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine began.

​For families where one parent serves in the military and the other must provide for the household, the absence of childcare is devastating.

​For a community as large as the Kharkiv region, one kindergarten is, of course, just a drop in the ocean, but it is a start.

At least five people were killed and another 49 injured in attacks over the past day, including two children. Three people were killed and 25 injured in the Kherson region. In the Dnipropetrovsk region, yesterday’s strikes killed two people and injured four others. In the Zaporizhzhia region, 16 people, including one child, were injured. In the Chernihiv region, two women were injured after a drone struck a residential building. The Odesa, Kyiv, and Dnipropetrovsk regions also came under attack. Residential buildings, businesses, vehicles, a petrol station, and warehouse facilities were damaged.

Минулої доби внаслідок атак щонайменше п’ятеро людей загинули, ще 49 дістали поранення, серед них – двоє дітей. На Херсонщині загинули троє людей, ще 25 були поранені. На Дніпропетровщині внаслідок учорашніх ударів загинули двоє людей, ще четверо постраждали. У Запорізькій області поранення дістали 16 людей, зокрема дитина. На Чернігівщині внаслідок атаки безпілотника по житловому будинку травмовано двох жінок. Також під атаками були Одещина, Київ та Дніпропетровщина. Пошкоджено житлові будинки, підприємства, транспорт, автозаправну станцію, складські приміщення.

Four years ago today, Russia launched a mіssile strіke on Vinnytsia.

Two Russian missiles hіt the city’s civilian center, including a building housing a mеdical cнnter. Twenty-nine civilians were kіІІеd, including three children, and more than 200 people were injured.

The world must remember July 14, 2022.
It must remember every innocent life that was taken.
And it must remember that Russia continues to аttack Ukrainian cities every single day.
