@DefenceGeek@OCStationary@MATA_osint Barriers are put in place to prevent a vehicle from running through the gate to get onto the installation. A vehicle is forced to reduce speed to navigate the barriers, which allows SF to engage.
@AL_J82 And... this means we must jump because you have taken on this cause. Do some research on the causes and grassroots work the Orthodox Church does, and you may learn something.
@EcclesiaAntiqua The Ecumenical status is immediately thrown into question as the Serbian Church was not represented, the Georgian Church representatives left, and St Mark of Ephesus, who represented Antioch, refused to sign.
@BlackPulsee@silver14300 You're an idiot. 1. Tasers are never guaranteed to work and the person was coming forward with knives. 2. They fired several tasers. You can see the lasers aimed and hear them fired. They did not stop her. 3. They were left with only deadly force on the use of force model.
@redeemed_zoomer Literally not the same person. By re-telling this rubbish, you help feed into the New Age movement and blur the lines between Christianity and Buddhism.
@HHS3239 The Biblical Canon is initially derived from Patristic endorsements, which provide for 27 books of the NT and OT, including the Deuterocanonical books. The Council of Jerusalem accepted a 73-book canon; however, variations in numbering or in separating can push it to 76 or 77.
@HHS3239@OrthodoxEthos “Very truly I tell you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. 54 Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day. (John 6:54-55). Can you be Christian without the Eucharist?
@OpStCyprian@AL_J82 It held a similar canon; however, 2nd Temple Jews followed an earlier canon that included books not found in the Masoretic, yet existed in the LXX, and part in the Qumran Scrolls.
@BaptistClips Wow, this pastor is really stupid. The Liturgy starts with Matins and is the praying of psalms, the to the Divine Liturgy, which has petitions, but is the praying of psalms, a New Testament Book and the Gospel. Orthodox don't receive wafers or crackers for Holy Communion.
@maksimologija 1. Monolingual Orthodox are not second class. 2. Exegesis of the texts would require someone with knowledge of the original language. English allows an understanding but there are layers to the writings.
@poperespecter1 You have to look at what he is saying. Causing factions in the Church is the Sin. Regarding reading, we have to rely on someone at some point who spoke the language in question to get a proper exegesis. Just reading it in English is insufficient.
