You cannot have significant investments and interests in a country and spend all your time speaking negatively about it. No serious investor wants the environment in which their assets are tied to be perceived as toxic or hopeless.
Most people who constantly spew negativity have little or nothing at stake. It is easier to dismiss a country’s prospects when you have nothing invested in its future.
Tinubu built Lagos state, he mostly contributed to Nig economy while he was governing Lagos, Tinubu boosted IGR from 7BN annually to 96BN
He grew Lagos GDP to 30% of Nig total GDP. If you ask Peter Obi’s supporters about his contribution to Nig they won’t have anything to say.
Nigerians are deeply irrational people.
18 years ago, I was tired, jet-lagged, famished and irritable.
I had just landed in City airport. I took the DLR train to Canning town so I can jump on the Jubilee line and go home.
It was simple efficient, public transport from the airport that took me home. Ubers didn’t exist. Taxis cost about £20.
The DLR train home? £1.10
The distance from London City Airport to Canning Town was 3km.
Now my country & my Lagos want to build a 7km rail from my country’s biggest airport to the Ikeja Train Station (an idea conceived 10 years ago by the way)…
And what do we have? silly criticisms and baseless chatter
It does make one wonder, do we want Nigeria to actually develop or do we want to be pennywise, pound foolish.
If we had done these projects when Oil was 150 dollars per barrel will we be here?
If we had done these projects when Gowon was bragging that we had more money than we knew what to spend it on, we will be here?
The rail out of gatwick was built in 1958
The rail out of heathrow was built in 1977
The rail out of city airport was built in 2005
We are building our own rail out of our most prestigious airport in 2026 and Nigerians are criticising…
Nobody is going to listen to such irrational criticisms, we have a nation to build.
That rail line from MMIA to Ikeja train station will be built and the Lagos redline will become a legacy infrastructure all Nigerians will be proud of cos it is public infrastructure for public good.
Minister @fkeyamo carry on!
Gov @jidesanwoolu well done!
They will keep crying
We will keep building
It the tears are too much,
We will sell them tissue. ✌🏾

Comparing prices under a subsidy regime with those in a market-driven economy is a lazy way to assess government performance.
When asked to compare prices with neighboring countries, many run away from the discussion because it exposes the reality that global inflation and geopolitical tensions, including the Iran-related disruptions in energy markets, have pushed up energy costs worldwide.
The government has ended fuel subsidies and has made it clear there are no plans to return to them. In simple terms, prices are now determined by market forces, not government handouts.
They say Agulu brothers mismanaged SEDC’s funds they want to shift blame by asking grok if it’s the federal government that funds it or the governors, Grok say na Federal government everywhere silent
Any small thing what has Tinubu done for us
South East Development Commission was established in July 2024, SEDC’s board was inaugurated in February 2025. By 2026, they have mismanaged 16 billion Naira.
Meanwhile their kinsmen are asking what Tinubu has done.
Tinubu set up the South East Development Commission, provided funding, and directed it to focus on the development of the Igbo people. However, they seem unable to provide an accounting of how the money was used. Meanwhile, you'll find their compatriots on social media disparaging Nigeria, insulting the APC and its supporters, using inappropriate language, and claiming to be the most developed region, even though their version of "small London" is merely Lagos. I am truly weary of their ingratitude.
"When we took the oath of office to lead this great nation, we did not promise shortcuts, we promised hardwork..."
Senate President Godswill Akpabio says the FCT administration’s infrastructure inauguration is a pathway to a brighter future and economic growth, fulfilling the government's promise.
Opposition has nothing to use for 2027 campaign again. Fuel Subsidy is already removed by President Tinubu. No more foreign exchange discrepancies. Infrastructure is ongoing across the country. University Students have unhindered access to education loans and allowances. No more ASUU strike. Economy is growing steadily and all educated indices are pointing to this. So nothing for opposition to campaign. But I must advise you that opposition is currently angry and frustrated, don't allow their boys to kidnap you. That is their only strategy now. Once you notice strange movement around you, RAISE ALARM, INFORM THE SECURITY MEN and let everyone be aware......Opposition is frustrated at the moment, dont be their victim!
Good evening to All Progressives Only ❤️
Day 2 of Invest Lagos 3.0 reinforced that Lagos remains a place of opportunity, innovation and enterprise.
Today’s conversations were practical and focused on solutions. We engaged investors and development partners who share our belief in the future of Lagos and our commitment to creating an environment where businesses can grow and succeed.
I remain focused on reducing barriers to investment and building a city where businesses can thrive. Today’s engagements reaffirmed the strong confidence in Lagos and the opportunities that lie ahead.
Thank you to everyone who brought their ideas and energy to the table. The insights shared and partnerships strengthened will help shape the next phase of our economic growth.
