That's why pipe was implemented closer to Casey's original vision but without the clutter and is more leaning towards simplicity and adds traditional collections in the mix. In the end, it's easier to build upon.

Moving forward, the protocol is being expanded to solve splitting concerns, but more importantly, covering ai uses cases as announced long before anyone was talking about agents and models.

We just released the new TAP Protocol & TAP Reader upgrade with a new channel.

Testnet 3 and Signet channels remain the same as before.

Developers and users are advised to switch to the new channel and TAP Readers asap. New features will be active from approx. Monday, 16th (block 861,576).

New features:

- Full ticker range support from 1 - 32 symbols

- Reserved BRC-20 tickers. Allowing existing projects to "transit" into TAP Protocol. Recommended for projects with focus on L1 and actual Bitcoin. The reservation period ends on above block activation height.

- Once the transition period ended, reserved tickers with zero mints, will be publicly available. Blockheight: TBA

- DMT/Bitmap Blockdrop support: deploy new DMT assets that only owners of the blockdropped UNAT/Bitmap are allowed to mint. Compatible with privilege authorities.

- Bitmap is now part of the DMT family within the TAP Protocol. Bitmap events (creation and transfers) can be read from the TAP Reader.

- Field 4 and 10 support (height and nonce). Immediate availability.

- Overhaul of the new asset class "verified privileges". Our upcoming AMM/Swap will be making heavy use of this to represent liquidity.

INTRODUCING THE PRC-998 PROPOSAL:
Creating Composable Asset on Bitcoin

This proposal unlocks new use cases for builders on PIPE, such as Real World Asset Complex Representation and Evolving Gaming Assets, and will be used to build the @INTERSTICE_BTC assets.

Our goal is to democratize this new standard by building tools and snippets for builders in the coming months.

We also plan to use the PRC-998 standard on the Interstice assets, making them one of the first PRC-998 assets.
