England player falls like a bitch and lays on the ground for 10 seconds instead of getting back in the play so the goal doesnβt count. Softest sport in the world
@jernt00@GungaGalungaAce@ClayTravis Currently, the top 200 of them in Europe at the Ajax Academy called "De Toekomst" a.k.a. "The Future".
Barcelona and other top European Teams have copied the Ajax Academy structure.

@BlueCollarJit@objects0t@MantoothTy@ClayTravis We had a cakewalk lineup of opponents before Belgium. So, call a spade... a spade. Turkiye match was a throwaway match since we had already won the group, you have to be honest about that as well.
@thatmanfazaam@ClayTravis Because Belgium usually has a game where they don't show up to play, each tournament. It's literally the reason their "Golden Generation" underperformed in previous tournaments. It's become a pretty well established pattern.
Because that's the primary sport Croatia plays, pretty simple f****** observation for you, Sherlock. Soccer is not among the top sports that our athletes care about. We don't have academies here. High school soccer sucks. American Club soccer sucks. University soccer sucks. A bunch of this team are players that were developed in foreign academies and couldn't hack it in those foreign national teams. Our generational talent plays other sports and couldn't care less about soccer, we just want the World Cup event here for the economic impact.
@GungaGalungaAce@ClayTravis Absolute ridiculous take, 10-14 is about the time our players get 4-6 hours of training a week while foreign academies are putting theirs through 40-60 hours a week of training, nutrition, tactics, fitness... That's when the massive divide starts.
We should just focus on sports that we excel at, where our best athletes and generational talent seem to gravitate towards, already. We don't have the academy systems to develop players like the rest of the world does, but then we encourage High School and University teams that actively set limitations on training and restrict Youth/Pro soccer club involvement - so we're already massively hindering our own development of players. Most of the "Stars" on the US team spent time in foreign youth academies - Pulisic, Balogun, Dest, Robinson, Tillman. If all that wasn't bad enough, mix in "Pay for Play" at the Youth Club level while other youth sports clubs get massive corporate sponsors, we'll never be a serious contender at this sport.
7 million mid-tier youth athletes does not move the needle of world-class football. Our youth is putting in like 2-4 hours a week of training, while the world academies are putting in like 40-60 of training, nutrition, tactics, etc. It's surprising we got this far.

While Belgium stayed scared of Balogun and just whined, cried, and appealed... Where was all that boldness before the game from a supposed football powerhouse. It's easy to say those things after a win.
Listen to yourself, calling Balogun as "stacking the deck". Thanks for the laugh.
Joke's on you, dumbass. The World has spent the last month raving about our abundance and their wonderful experiences in our country, while we reaped the economic impact... As you take solace in your slightly better ability to kick an inflated rubber bladder around a lawn.
Next time shit goes south in your Country, you'll still be hoping we show up to save the day.
