@ProfessorStacie Almost every student learns differently from another. It is important to know what works for which kids. I think a good classroom should have a variety of ways for students to learn. This individual education will ensure a student understands and feels valid.

@ProfessorStacie I worry about my classroom not being interesting enough. I want my students to be excited to come to my class everyday. It would make me sad for them to dread it or find it boring. I want to make learning enjoyable for them.

@ProfessorStacie I want to be remembered as the teacher who really cared. I would love to leave the impact of being known that I really wanted my students to do well and feel safe in my classroom. School is an escape for many students and I want them to be secure in my room.

@ProfessorStacie Before this semester I was unaware of what small things could be a sign of an exceptionality. It has made me want to be sure to pay attention so no student is struggling and not accommodated properly.

@ProfessorStacie Early intervention is really important for a student's care. The earlier a disability is known, the earlier this student can be accommodated for. Before this module I was not aware of how early some signs can be present. Now i know what to look out for.

@ProfessorStacie Programs that support both students and adults allow for a place where everyone can feel comfortable. The adjustment period after graduating high school can be difficult for these students. Already having these connections can cause a smoother transition.

@ProfessorStacie Successful classrooms needs to be built for the needs of a variety of students. A student will not be completely focused and willing to learn unless they are comfortable. Classes need to be able to adapt to what a student needs while staying functional.

@ProfessorStacie Being aware of how these groups work together allows for teachers to make necessary and rightful modifications in the classroom. It will make an impact on my teaching because I will know all the resources available to make sure my students succeed.
