A heartwarming reunion after a devastating fire in California.
Firefighters in Grass Valley reunite a cat with its owners affected by a recent blaze, turning a frightening ordeal into a moment of relief.
The Grass Valley Fire Department says the emotional reunion is a reminder that its job goes far beyond putting out flames. It's also about protecting the families, pets and memories that make a house a home.
"Sometimes the best part of the job comes after the fire is out," the department shares.
On the road for disaster response work.
This was north of Milton, FL on the way to Brewton, AL. Widespread damage pretty far north of I-10.
Please pray for those affected by Isaias!
This could have been a debate.
While Ken Paxton refuses to face James Talarico on the debate stage, James will be answering questions directly from Texans LIVE on CNN.

@RepDonBacon@BrafshawD41096 There are a lot of people who don’t understand your district… or that districts across the country are not uniform and have different priorities or values regardless of political party.
Looks like Trump’s announcement of a diesel deal with Russia is a violation of Public Law 117-109 also known as the Ending Importation of Russian Oil Act, which was enacted on April 8, 2022. The only way around it is if the President submits to Congress proof that Russia has ceased hostilities and has withdrawn from Ukraine.
Here’s the deal. The Republicans are always putting forth the argument that we are a nation of laws. If someone enters the country illegally, they need to be deported because we are a nation of laws. If a city is being burned by rioters, those responsible need to go to jail because we are a nation of laws. I agree with all of this.
But you can’t abandon that idea or ignore it when it’s convenient. Not if you are a person of principle. So if the person that you voted for is breaking the law, you shouldn’t defend it. Of course, have your opinions (even if your opinion is ill informed and stupid) but be willing to stand on the foundation that we are a nation of laws. Both sides need to be willing to call balls and strikes for their own team.
It is sickening that the USA is now lifting sanctions on Russian fuel, and transparently ridiculous to blame Ukraine for the spike in prices that obviously began with the closure of the Strait of Hormuz. Putin is murdering innocent Ukrainian civilians every day. The Ukrainians are fighting for their lives. And yet the White House is apparently determined to force American drivers to bankroll Putin’s slaughter. It won’t work and I doubt it will make much difference to the price of fuel.
If we want Russian oil and gas back on the world market then let’s end this war - with a free, sovereign and independent Ukraine.
Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick to Introduce Bipartisan ‘Ronald Reagan Peace Through Strength Act’ Banning All U.S. Purchases of Russian Oil — Defying President Trump
For some reason, Trump is talking about the amount of diesel in tons rather than gallons. The amount that he says that the U.S. will be getting adds up to 4.8 million tons. That’s around 1.35 billion gallons of diesel.
The U.S. consumes about 130 million gallons of diesel PER DAY. That means that this super amazing sweet deal with Russia gives us about 10-11 days worth of diesel fuel.
In exchange, Russia gets a lifeline to further fund a war of territorial conquest that is killing innocent Ukrainians.
Shameful.
@LangmanVince Or maybe he’s trying to take out the resource that Russia can profit from to kill more Ukrainians and seize territory that isn’t theirs. Zelensky is acting in best interests of his country, which is precisely what he should be doing.
BREAKING: Just mere hours after President Trump announced the unsanctioning of Russian diesel, Ukraine responded by striking the Novoshakhtinsk oil terminal inside of Russia.
It seems Ukraine is back to imposing their own sanctions on Putin.
My family was truly blessed yesterday during the worst of the storm. Our power never went out, and we were shielded by hills while the rest of the city (esp downtown) suffered. One of the worst bits I recorded where my screen door became a sail and almost took me with it #Isaías
