🚨 POLICE & RSPCA APPEAL – DOG CRUELTY INCIDENT, ORFORD, WARRINGTON

Police officers and the RSPCA are appealing for information following multiple reports of a man being cruel to two German Shepherds in the Orford area.

👉 A photo of the alleged abuser has been included on this post to assist identification.

At around 3.30pm on Saturday 24 July, officers were called to Poplars Avenue after witnesses reported seeing a man kicking a German Shepherd and yanking her back on her lead so hard her front legs lifted off the ground.

Ring doorbell footage has since been obtained showing the same man aggressively pulling another German Shepherd, then pinning the dog to the floor after she barked at a passer‑by. He was then seen walking back towards the location where he was first spotted kicking one of the dogs.

👀 Witness sightings:
At 14:15 on Saturday 25th, the man was seen walking two German Shepherds and a small white dog, accompanied by a boy believed to be his son. This was opposite the shops (Betfred) on Poplars Avenue, heading up Capesthorne Road.

👮‍♂️ If you have any information, please contact Cheshire Police on 101, quoting crime reference 3978048.

🐾 The RSPCA has also been notified and is appealing for witnesses.

They said: “This appears to be a very upsetting incident, as all animals should be treated with kindness and respect. We urge anyone with first‑hand information to contact the RSPCA on 0300 1234 999.”
