Absolutely Unacceptable violation of Civil Rights of this family by Katy ISD and Police Department. Every person involved MUST be terminated immediately. Nowhere in Texas law does it say that a "Residency Verification" includes the entry of a private residence, let alone entry without the parent of a minor being present.

A Katy, Texas mother is demanding answers after home security footage revealed her son's high school principal and a Katy ISD police officer entered her home without her knowledge or a warrant while she was at work.
The student was home alone when the two school officials entered the house and walked into his bedroom, stating they needed to see it for verification
The mother, who was at work and never contacted before or during the visit, expressed deep shock and called it a "huge invasion of privacy"
The district defended the unannounced entry as a standard residency verification check

Hope she sues the F out of the City of Katy and the School district. Everyone involved must be fired. Taking advantage of a child to gain unlawful entry into a residence is beyond coercive government. They just trampled over their rights without even the slightest hesitation. They must be punished.
