Today our @PiquaWater Department released 500 tilapia fingerlings into Franz Pond in an effort to manage algae and vegetation in a natural chemical free way!!
500 Tilapia placed in Frantz Pond today to help minimize weed and algae growth. Tilapia are becoming widely used for this purpose. The City is hoping to see great results. #CityofPiqua
Crews will continue to primer hydrants in the Looney Rd.-Country Club area today. Cleaning of hydrants will begin in the Washington Avenue area and adjacent streets. As always, be vigilant while driving for city workers. #CityofPiqua
Piqua skyline about to change. Spring St. & S. Main water towers will be coming down in the next couple days. The new tower on Fox Dr. is taking the place of these old towers. Fox Dr. has been in service since last Friday. #CityofPiqua

We are beginning to lower the Hydraulic Canal System so that a repair can be made in the levee by the old water plant. Repair is scheduled for early next week and will result in the bike path being closed for a couple of days.
