Don't let billionaires convince you slop is the future. They're used to managing & directing, not making things themselves. Of course they can't see the difference. They don't understand your love for the craft. Keep making personal, beautiful games.
You've got my support π
OMG THIS IS HILARIOUS ππ
A day before Epic posted about their new vibe coded launcher with *faster speeds than Steam*, Valve improved Steam's startup performance making it now way faster.
After testing it, it fully opens for me after 5s, so Epic's claim is WRONG.
Thanks for the writeup and the reply posts below it.
For me I wanted a fresh start where everyone was on the same playing field. I love OSRS and avoided RS3 due to all the MTX junk. This new setup feels like an anti-MTX league more than a dunking on older players.
Some people jumped to pitchforks but I'm just excited to see less absurd monetization in this space.
The new @RuneScape Reignited is exactly what I wanted from the game. No more microtransactions impacting progression. Can't wait to play it.
The new account name of Reignited isn't sticking with me though. I'm calling it Walletman.

After raising the alarm on this @Kick investigated. They fixed the issue for our rescue and others impacted and back-paid the missing funds. Missing income hit the account today so thank you for that.
If you find your income doesn't make sense then contact support with as much data as you can. Use the analytics pages available to prove your case. Sometimes support isn't empowered to handle issues like this so you'll need to keep at it until it's right.
Glad this got resolved.
After implementing this change to the KPP our rescue stream has dropped ~60% in revenue overnight on Kick. Starting on September 16th and for every stream going forward.
Kick support claims it's now a 30 day average of the income of our streams but this doesn't make sense. That broadcast has had steadily increasing viewership over the last 60, 30, and 7 days. It's also a 24/7 stream and has the same number of hours every broadcast.
A "30 day average" when viewership is only going up and hours streamed is the same does not explain a ~60% drop in KPP income. Other creators are also talking about similar declines so it's not just us.
Kick needs to revert this new weighted average change. It's immediately impacted income in a negative way for creators and that income cannot be correctly calculated on our end. It makes the platform look dishonest overall and doesn't align with their stated creator first goals.

@ZainRust@kick I would honestly keep on them if you can prove that something is wrong with analytics. I got the same "it's fine" response from support initially.
@amiro727@kick Show them your ACCV for all streams before and after a drop in KPP revenue. Remember to check the amount of hours you streamed with that ACCV. In our case the income per viewer dropped by ~60% so it was very obvious something was wrong.
@MaddieAndGoose@kick No idea. The FerretSoftware channel was part of a push to enable ads on the platform around the same time. My assumption is something went wrong there but I have no information from them.
