Bums me out that Bucs had 2nd best reliever on market last deadline and all they got was Rafael Flores and two "prospects". Sounds like Red Sox are going to get a haul for Aroldis Chapman. Yeh, maybe AC is better, but just wish Bucs would've gotten better return to help for 2026
GMBC on Konnor Griffin: Timeline a little more conservative, given exact spot of muscle. Going to be part of lineup biggest chunk of season. Sounds like Griffin will be out longer than initially expected.
GMBC on bullpen market: Every time is talking this time of year, getting that intel, what a team is ready/not ready to do. Every once in a while a team is ready to do something this early. Improvement can happen by guys on this team, certainly guys like M Montgomery.
@BilakRonald No!!!! Love the Willie Stargell childhood card, the Roberto Clemente Game 4 WS card, the Rod Carew, Steve Garvey high no. The list goes on
GMBC on Oneil Cruz: Walk rate creeping up toward last year. Quality at-bats. Teammates are helping too, in part because the lineup is deeper. Communication is adding up. He banged up his hand sliding into home. Tests were negative, think we avoided IL, right now he's day-to-day.
GMBC on Braxton Ashcraft: I don't think any team has exact time 4 this. Loose confederacy of information coming together. We look at intensity of every inning. Bio of every outing. Look at self. Measure velo, shape, spin, good news there was no change yesterday. Prob inning range
GMBC on Joey Bart: Barring something unforeseen, he'll seen a rehab assignment starting this week. He really had to shut things down, entirely. We gotta build it back up. Sounds like rehab will be measured in weeks.
GMBC on Bubba: Try to work with him toward better efficiency. We've seen the elite stuff, competed really well, stayed in there, showed competitor. Not every AB needs to be an event at 3-and-2. Get a little deeper into game and get some easy outs.
GMBC on Skenes: Still throwing really hard, obviously. He's so good, doesn't need to throw 100 mph to be successful. We did have WBC, preparation for spring training a little bit different.
GMBC on Brandon Lowe: Test were negative for fracture, right now we're looking at it as day-to-day. Hopefully we're looking at him for the Dodgers series (starting Tuesday).
Brandon Ashcraft allowed more earned runs (6) today than Paul Skenes has in his career (68 starts). It's great Bucs have two studs in rotation, but Skenes is still the King
Could've been interesting had Endy not swung at full count with a loopy swing and two on, down 6-3 in the 8th. Just not coming through with clutch hits right now
