Kütləvi idmanın inkişafında infrastrukturun rolu həlledicidir. İdmanın əlçatan olması üçün regionlarda müasir və funksional idman məkanlarının yaradılması xüsusi əhəmiyyət daşıyır.

Təxminən 4 ay əvvəl Qazax şəhərində, Göyəzən Stadionunun yaxınlığında yerləşən və uzun müddət istifadə olunmayan köhnə güləş zalı ilə tanış olduq. Həmin vaxt qarşımıza konkret məqsəd qoyduq – sponsor cəlb etməklə bu zalı yenidən idmana qaytarmaq.

Aparılan təxminən 3 aylıq iş və danışıqlar nəticəsində bu təşəbbüs artıq real layihəyə çevrilir.

Razılaşmaya əsasən:

- AHİTA öz balansında olan obyekti xüsusi şərtlərlə Azərbaycan Güləş Federasiyasına icarəyə verir;

- Arkoz sement zavodu korporativ sosial məsuliyyət proqramı çərçivəsində zalın tam yenidənqurma və bərpa işlərini öz üzərinə götürür;

- Azərbaycan Güləş Federasiyası isə zalı güləş döşəkləri və bütün idman avadanlıqları ilə təmin edəcək.

Bu gün 2026-cı ilin idman paytaxtı olan Qazax şəhərində tərəflər arasında 3 tərəfli memorandum imzalandı.

Hədəfimiz 7–8 ay ərzində bu zalı istifadəyə verərək regionda gənclər üçün yeni güləş mərkəzi yaratmaqdır.

Ölkəmizdə idmanın inkişafına verdikləri töhfəyə görə tərəfdaşlarımız AHİTA və Arkoz sement zavoduna təşəkkür edirəm.

This time, we are heading to Gazakh — the sports capital of our country — with a clear goal: to turn wrestling into a true celebration of sport once again.

The feedback from the wrestling community after our last two competitions has been overwhelmingly positive. This trust is both an honor and a responsibility. Our team is working with full commitment to ensure that our young athletes experience an international-level competition environment at home, gain valuable experience, and grow as future champions.

As in our previous events, we also invite business leaders and partners to join us in supporting this championship and become part of the development journey of Azerbaijani wrestling.

Azərbaycan Güləş Federasiyasının (AGF) rəhbərliyi Qarabağa səfər edib.

AGF-nin vitse-prezidentləri Namiq Abdullayev, Fərid Mansurov, AGF-nin baş katibi Pərvin Piriyev, yunan-Roma güləşi üzrə koordinator Rafiq Hüseynov Şuşa və Xankəndidə görüşlər keçirib.

Şuşa Şəhəri Dövlət Qoruğu İdarəsində, Şuşa şəhər məktəbində və Qarabağ Universitetində olan federasiyanın funksionerləri həmin məkanlarda rəsmi şəxslərlə yanaşı, məktəblilər və tələbələrlə görüşüb. Azərbaycan idmanında uğurlarıyla parlaq iz qoymuş N.Abdullayv, F.Mansurov və R.Hüseynov öz karyeralarından danışıb, yeniyetmə və gənclərin suallarını cavablandırıb və tövsiyələrini çatdırıblar.

Güləş Federasiyası bu tip motivasiya xarakterli görüşləri sistemli şəkildə davam etdirəcək.

Youth and cadets are the future of our wrestling.

We aim to organize the Azerbaijan Youth and Cadets Wrestling Championship, which will take place in Ganja from February 3 to 13, at a completely new and higher organizational level.

To be clear, our goal is to deliver this competition at a standard close to the senior national championships.

We strongly believe that if we want to increase the number of homegrown wrestlers in the future, the path starts precisely with youth and cadet development.

This approach is based on two key priorities:

• increasing the number of competitions,
• improving the organizational and visual quality of events.

The championship in Ganja will serve as a practical example of this vision.

We are open to cooperation with sponsors and partners on this journey.

This year, we introduced three key improvements to the training camp programs of our senior national teams:

🥗 Nutrition
We did not leave nutrition planning to organizers. A pre-approved menu was provided in advance, ensuring that meals met established sports performance standards.

📘 Explanation of new rules
We organized a seminar for national team members, where the latest United World Wrestling (UWW) rules were explained not only theoretically, but through practical scenarios.

🔬 Science-based approach
To ensure effective use of test results conducted at the Sports Academy, we invited Academy specialists to the training camp.

Together with our coaches, they analyzed athletes’ data and initiated the planning of individualized training programs.

Success in sport is never achieved overnight. There are hundreds of factors influencing performance, and improving each of them requires time.
If we manage this process consistently and correctly, I firmly believe a new level of quality awaits us.

A scientific and medical approach is one of the key priorities in the preparation process of our national teams.

Members of the Greco-Roman and freestyle wrestling national teams have undergone comprehensive medical and psychological testing at the Sports Medical Research Laboratory located at the Sports Academy, equipped with state-of-the-art technology.

The tests assessed athletes’ strength and endurance levels, oxygen uptake, body composition, balance ability, muscle mass development, and other essential performance parameters. The results provided the coaching staff with practical, data-driven insights into each athlete’s current physical condition.

In addition, athletes participated in psychological testing to evaluate mental readiness and identify individual weak points.

This approach allows for an optimal analysis of each national team member, timely elimination of shortcomings identified during training camps, and a more effective planning of the preparation process.

Yunan-Roma və sərbəst güləş üzrə yığma üzvləri İdman Akademiyasında yerləşən, ən müasir cihazlarla təmin edilmiş İdman Tibbi Tədqiqatları Laboratoriyasında müxtəlif parametrlər üzrə testlərdən keçiblər.

Xüsusi aparatlar vasitəsilə güc və dözümlülük göstəriciləri, oksigenin əmsallığı, bədəndə fəallığın və yağlılığın faizi, balans qabiliyyəti, əzələ kütləsinin inkişafı təhlil edilib. İdman üçün vacib olan detallar ölçülüb, cihazlardan keçirdilib və hər bir idmançının orqanizminin mövcud durumu ilə bağlı məşqçilər korpusuna praktiki məlumat verilib.

Bütün bunlarla yanaşı, idmançılar psixoloji testlərdən keçiblər. Psixoloji test idmançının zəif nöqtələrini qiymətləndirir.

Qeyd edək ki, bu laborotoriyada testlərin keçirilməsi hər bir milli üzvünün orqanizmini optimal təhlil etmək, diaqnoz qoymaq və təlim-məşq toplanışlarında qeydə alınmış çatışmazlıqları aradan qaldırmaq istiqamətində müvafiq addımlar atmağa imkan verir.

The Senior Azerbaijan Wrestling Championship has come to an end today.

Through the organization of this championship, our goal was to clearly demonstrate to the wrestling family where we see Azerbaijani wrestling and what standards we aim for. Our objective was not just to hold a competition, but to create a high-quality, professional sporting environment.

Within this framework, we:

• Held bouts in each weight category over two days instead of one;

• Ensured the participation of most No.1 athletes;

• Strengthened security and discipline measures;

• Invited international referees with Olympic experience to officiate intense matches;

• Selected the Best Referee of the Tournament for the first time;

• Introduced camera monitoring of the weigh-in process;

• Conducted photo and video shoots for all athletes and prepared mat-entry presentations;

• Organized fan contests with prizes;

• Significantly improved the visual setup of the arena;

• Created a special VIP zone for veterans, coaching staff, and titled wrestlers, and presented them to the public;

• Broadcast all competition days and matches live on CBC Sport and YouTube;

• Identified and rewarded the tournament’s young talents;

• Doubled the prize fund for winners in Olympic weight categories;

• Honored retired wrestlers and referees;

• Awarded the most active regional representative.

Azerbaijani wrestling deserves nothing but the best.

In sport, quality is built on quantity. The greater the number of children involved in a sport, the higher the chance of identifying and developing real talent.

To achieve mass participation, three key elements are essential: appropriate infrastructure, qualified coaches, and a sustainable competition system. Among these, infrastructure development is the most immediate and achievable step.

In wrestling, infrastructure means opening new training halls and upgrading existing ones. Yesterday, four new wrestling halls were put into operation in Göyçay, creating the opportunity for more than 600 children to train on a regular basis.

The results of decisions made today are not immediate. Our expectation is that these steps will translate into tangible outcomes in 4–5 years. That is why, this year, we are placing particular emphasis on improving training conditions.

I am confident that the children who take their first steps on the mat today will represent our country with pride on the international stage in the years ahead.

Bu gün Gənclər və idman naziri Fərid Qayıbov, AGF-nin vitse-prezidentləri Namiq Əliyev, Namiq Abdullayev, Fərid Mansurov, həmçinin federasiyanın baş katibi Pərvin Piriyevin iştirakıyla güləş zallarının açılışı həyata keçirilib. Güləş Federasiyasının Elm və Təhsil Nazirliyi ilə əməkdaşlıq çərçivəsində Qarabaqqal kənd orta məktəbin, Göycay şəhərində isə 1, 3 və 6 saylı orta məktəblərin idman zalları güləşçilərin ixtiyarına verilib. Güləşin bütün növləri üzrə idmançıları yetişdirən zallarda məşqlər ödənişsizdir. Bu güləş mərkəzlərində 600-dən artıq idmançının məşq etməsi üçün hər cür şərait var.

Raising the prestige of the Azerbaijan Championship is one of our long-term strategic goals.

We believe that holding the championship at a higher level in terms of organization, presentation, officiating, and wrestling quality will have a direct impact on attracting more children to the sport in the future.

Only a few days remain until the national championship. This time, we are striving to introduce a number of innovations:

🔹 Officiating – To ensure complete neutrality, especially in intense semifinal and final matches, world-class international referees will be invited.

🔹 Presentation & Visuals – Enhancing the championship’s visual appeal by implementing stage layouts, lighting, and visual effects used at World and European Championships.

🔹 Fan Experience – Organizing entertaining competitions to increase fan engagement and allow spectators to feel the excitement of the event more deeply.

🔹 TV Broadcast – For the first time in a long while, the entire championship will be broadcast live in full on the CBC Sport channel.

Of course, achieving all these goals flawlessly in a short period of time is not easy. However, our main objective is for wrestling fans to feel closer to the sport with every championship and to experience a new level of difference each time.

When we look at the life stories of champions, we see that at the very beginning of their journey to success, there is always a mentor who guides them.

This mentor shapes not only the champion’s technical style, but also the foundation of their athletic mentality.

That is why the development of a true mentor essentially means the development of hundreds of champions.

The transformation of a champion into a mentor who raises champions is an extremely complex and responsible process. This path requires serious preparation, time, and a step-by-step approach.

Today, the opening of Taleh Mammadov’s gym brought us special joy. I believe he chose the right path to grow as a mentor — starting with the youngest age groups. This approach will give him enough time and opportunity to gain the wisdom needed to raise champions.

I am confident that, just as in his athletic career, he will achieve great results as a coach as well.

In a study I read about two years ago, it was noted that as the use of social media deepens, the value of face-to-face communication will increase even more.

Today, we receive so much information through social media that we can neither retain it nor turn it into memories. And memories are created only through real, lived moments.

I believe that sports organizations and the figures representing them should place greater importance on face-to-face communication with society. It is precisely then that people's sympathy toward that sport and those figures grows stronger.

Yesterday, within the framework of the #GülesQarabagda campaign, we met with school students and university students in the city of #Khankendi, and carried out activities that were both fun and educational. Their emotions, behavior, and joy gave me a sense of confidence: we may remain as a memory on the life path of these young people.

Perhaps they will now look at wrestling from a completely different perspective, or perhaps they will become fans of this sport in the future.
