Gay marriage is not legal in Japan right now. A lot of BL coming out right now include weddings because they are fighting for it to be legalized. Either through awareness and/or donating some of the proceeds to fight for the cause. This is literally an LGBT rights movement there.
It is simply inconceivable to me that a significant portion of the population wakes up every morning and chooses to use the Akinator That Makes You Stupid to write their wedding vows, dissertations, tax forms, eulogies etc
Hi, so the woman who carried and gave birth to me was 13 years old, celebrated her 14th birthday only days before I was born. I should’ve been aborted. It’s really terrible that she was made to carry and birth a baby while she was a child herself.
Am I happy to be alive? Yes. Absolutely. Very happy to be here. Would I be mad had I been aborted? No, I wouldn’t exist, I wouldn’t feel anything. I shouldn’t exist. She was a child. The lives of girls/women are more valuable than fetuses.
let's go over
"what rights do you not have"
"what rights are being taken"
life - government trying to kill trans people via forcefully detransition, being put on lists and tracked and being forced to be outed against their safety.
liberty - the freedom to live as ourselves is a liberty
freedom from torture/slavery - theyre making laws like bathroom bans to throw trans people in prison(slavery) and theyre forcing prison inmates to detransition (torture)
equality before the law - trans people are treated like second class citizens or vermin the fact that alot of places have "trans panic defense" which gives you the legal right to essentially murder a trans person with no threat of charges if you are "scared"
freedom of expression - drag bans and other expression bans have been enacted in various places as "obscene"
access to work, education & healthcare - trans people have some of the highest discrimination rates, more than the majority of other minority groups but its compounded if the person shares other minority groups.
Black trans women have the largest margin of discrimination.
the question "what rights do you not have" is bad faith to begin with but feel free to link to this if someone asks it.
for those who praise freedom they sure love punching down on transgender and the LGBTQIA+
happy intl. transgender day to the nonbinary that are not androgynous, the dolls that do not ‘pass’, boys that like to be fem, the people in between, the questioners of the cis-society, the gender benders, the people that treat gender like a playground.
Today is Trans Day of Visibility.
Trans, non-binary, and gender-nonconforming people have always been here — from the hijra of India to the Diné nádleehi to the leaders who built the modern LGBTQIA+ movement here in New York.
Your existence is not up for debate. Your lives are not a political issue.
We’re fighting for a city where every trans New Yorker can live openly, safely, and with joy.
KitKat is owned by Nestlé.
Nestlé is one of the most unethical companies in the world.
In the late 1970s and early 1980s, Nestlé wanted to grow its infant formula sales in developing countries, especially in Africa. So they came up with a strategy.
They gave free baby formula to new mothers and promoted it as better than mother’s milk.
At first, it seemed helpful. But it was not.
The free supply lasted just long enough for many mothers to stop producing their own milk. Once it ended, they had no natural option left and had to depend on formula.
But many of these mothers were poor. They could not afford to keep buying it. So they tried to stretch it by adding more water and less powder.
This led to weak and undernourished babies.
It got worse because many of them did not even have clean water or proper conditions to prepare the formula safely. Babies fell sick. Some even died.
And Nestlé did not even provide proper instructions. No clear guidance in local languages. No support for mothers who could not read.
They knew the risks. They still continued.
They only reacted when Western countries protested and boycotted them.
Even today, they are not fully ethical. And people still eat KitKat.
People severely underestimate just how depressed kids can get under the right circumstances. My first attempt on my life was when I was 10, and I had thoughts and plans from when I was as young at 7. Please don't forget that kids are people too
Over 400 women have been arrested since they overturned Roe v Wade... yet not a SINGLE man has been arrested for raping children with Epstein.
It’s never been about protecting children... wake up.
Way more people should be outraged by the fact that trans men are FORCIBLY detransitioned to “PRESERVE FERTILITY”
Bodily autonomy is being removed..
Human rights are stripped away..
TO “PRESERVE FERTILITY”????
This is what reducing human beings to reproductive roles leads to.
Ok I’ve been this 18yo woman.
Let me break it down for you.
You’re 18 and you cry when someone says something mean about you in the school play.
But he’s an adult, so he tells you to toughen up and quit being emotional.
So you don’t feel safe processing your feelings like a normal teenager.
You’re 18, and you want to hang out in the park with the other teenagers and gossip.
But he’s an adult, so he tells you to grow up and stop being so immature.
So you stop seeing your friends, and your socialisation with your peers becomes harder.
You’re 18, and you’ve never had a big argument with a partner before, so you’re really confused and upset.
But he’s an adult, so he tells you you’re childish, crazy, and he’s disappointed.
So you feel ashamed of acting your age and wonder if there is something wrong with you.
You’re 18, and you’re really worried about your exam results coming out next week.
But he’s an adult, so he tells you that you should look into retaking classes if you are serious, or stop being so dramatic.
So you suffer in silence and learn your partner won’t understand if you need comfort.
Can age gaps work? Yes.
But honey, if you’re a teen and reading this: date another teen.
Tennessee is considering a bill tomorrow that would put foster kids with no criminal record in prison. Similar policies have led to mass r*pe and t*rture of innocent children in prison in New Hampshire other states. You can help us kill this bill today.
Tennessee (like many other states) has so many foster kids that they don't know what to do with them. Many of these kids are being taken from innocent parents, because they get federal money for every kid they take.
Because of this, they want to label foster children "in need of heightened supervision" and put in prison with juvenile offenders.
New Hampshire did this with the "Youth Development Center" prison. As a result, over 2000 foster kids were abused. Imagine the things that happen to people in prison. That was being done to foster kids who had committed no crime.
One child, David Meehan, says he was r*ped and beaten hundreds of times by YDC staff. He recently won a $38 million lawsuit for it.
We're going to stop even a single Tennessee foster child from suffering David's fate. In this thread, I'll tell you how you can help.
