Weekend Viewage lineup this weekend is stacked like the 98’ Yankees.
1. The Diplomat S4 (Netflix)
2. Love Is Blind: Boston (Netflix)
3. War (HBO and the best show currently)
4. Below Deck new season (Bravo)
Weekend Viewage update pt 2: Mike Flanagan is the Christopher Nolan of horror television. He’s got Steph Curry range when it comes to the genre and his adaptation of Stephen King’s CARRIE is another swish.
We’re getting all time performances from both Summer H Howell & Samantha Sloyan as Carrie and her mom Margaret. Love the spin pit on the familiar story- excited to finish out the back half of the season next weekend.
Weekend Viewage update pt 1: the Josh Hartnett Renaissance is in full swing & we all deserved it. BELOW on Netflix is equal parts Widows Bay + Jaws with a pinch of the X-Files.
While it is not nearly as good as any of those 3 it’s a fun way to spend a couple hours w/ a new show…as long as you can get past a very specific creative choice in regards to the setting. Oh and did I mention Josh Hartnett is in it?
🚨 Emergency Weekend Viewage update:
Resident Evil should get all ya monies. It’s the best video game adaptation of all time for one simple reason: it takes the setting of the video game & drops a regular character into the role of the protagonist.
Resident Evil is a tight hour & 27 mins of you, me, or Dupree facing a monster apocalypse on a random Tuesday night. Special shout out to the camera work from Cregger & Wolski. Top tier craft.
Weekend Viewage update pt 2:
Lanterns might be it ya’ll. The DCU is setting itself apart from Marvel by doing mature superhero storytelling on the small screen that’s fueling excitement for its tentpole movies. I’m excited about the next Batman & Superman movies because of The Penguin and Lanterns.
Aaron Pierre is a star. It’s happening. The train has left the station. Kinda wish he was going to be Bond. We’d all be okay with that.
Weekend Viewage Update pt 1: Yesterday I got the opportunity to watch 5 min of Dune Part 3 on 70MM.
I felt like a kid watching Saving Private Ryan’s D-Day invasion sequence…but on another fuckin planet.
We got a Stockton to Malone this year with the Odyssey & Dune. We’ll be eating good this holiday season.
Weekend Viewage update pt 2:
HBO is serving up a spicy deluxe wing combo -all flats called A Killer Story. Only one ep is available so far but after 8 seconds I was IN.
Double homicide. NY times reporter with a truck driver’s mouth. 2 married amateur sleuths from bumble fuck breaking a case wide open? Can’t wait for next ep Thursday.
Weekend Viewage update pt 1: we’re in a true crime all you can eat buffet right now..and ya boy is hungry. 1st up: I crushed all 4 eps of Welcome to the Family- The Murder of Dan Markel on Hulu. Pound for pound the best crime doc I’ve seen this year. Maybe ever.
It’s got murder, exceptional police work, hot criminals, plot twists, & South Beach antics. Easiest decision you’ll make this week.
Okay so I finally got around to watching Backrooms. So, it was like a lot of rooms..in the back.
Kinda scary. Def creepy. But like rooms. In the back. It has to win the Oscar for production design right?!???
There were a lot of cool rooms!
