Obviously, Luzardo has made plenty of other changes through his time in the league, but the apparent fact is that the addition of the SW, along with some changes, has allowed him to rise to an elite pitcher in MLB. He has proven to be a consistent dominant big-league arm.

Low EXTENSION Doesn’t Have to be a DEATH sentence☠️

Extension is valuable. The farther down the mound you release the ball, the less time a hitter has to react.

BUT having below-average EXTENSION doesn’t mean you can’t be an elite pitcher.

It simply means you may need to win in different ways.

Antone's ability to overcome three major elbow surgeries and make it back to the field is already absurd. Changing an arsenal as much as he did when healthy is something that most pitchers can't do. He also had to fight through countless rehab with the goal of returning.
