When I try access my instagram account, this is one version of what happens.
Sometimes it doesn't even get this far!
It's not suspended. It's not disabled. There haven't been any TOS violations. Nothing illegal, nothing illicit.
With #Threads stealing all the social media thunder over the last 24 hours, is Twitter's Chief Schmuck still rate limiting everyone on the platform to various degrees?
Good lord, the biggest threat to Twitter's existence isn't Meta.
It's Elon Musk himself.
@katienotopoulos Can't use Instagram for nearly 2 years (not suspended, not banned, just in a broken purgatory with zero help from Meta support.), so how can I possibly use Threads?

I'd love to tell you about My Instagram, but my account has been in limbo for a full year!
Locked out, apparently forever?
For no reason at all.
This screenshot is from the IG web client.
So, what happens when I try to "confirm my info on the app?"

#PrisonersDaughter: Brian Cox & Kate Beckinsale play an estranged father & daughter, with a 12-year old son of her own, in a mostly formulaic Las Vegas-based melodrama. A well-earned twist at the ending almost turns this film into a good one.
The next film in #ThePurge franchise series should be "The Purge: July Fifth," where all murder of anyone lighting off fireworks on July 5th is completely legal.
.@instagram's "Threads", Meta's Twitter-like competitor app, sounds like a pretty cool concept.
But since I still can't use my Instagram account after nearly 2 years, even though it's not suspended, there's no hope in me going on Threads either.

Other times when I try to access my instagram account, this happens. (yes, there's a working PW there)
But because I'm not a verified blue-check famous person, no one at @InstagramComms can be bothered to help. Nor @mosseri
@CraigPWMusings Wouldn't put Dustin Rhodes in the same category, as it was a one-time kickout spot in a match. Sometimes they work in context, sometimes they don't.
However, the way Moxley & Ishii did it, was completely absurd, overdone, silly, kills all suspension of disbelief, just awful.
If all accounts are subject to Elon Musk's new & brilliant idea of "view count rate limits" on @Twitter dot com, shouldn't there be a view counter on your account's page that tells you how many "views" you have left in your 24 hour period?
This is not hard to implement.
@ChrisVanVliet Dave Meltzer used to say that 5 star matches were flawless. It WAS a high standard!
But ever since around 2015, he overrates every pro wrestling match imaginable, ignores obvious flaws in even the great matches, hands out higher star ratings to wrestlers that he's friendly with.
@ZoeSchiffer Even with this absurd rate limiting idea, the amount of spam accounts on Twitter seem to infect the platform just as much as it ever did before, if not moreso.

#SoundOfFreedom: Based on a true story, Jim Caviezel plays Tim Ballard, a DHS agent who goes after child sex traffickers in Colombia. Well-intentioned, but a very amateurish & bad movie, poorly edited, slow-zoom shots in nearly every scene.
When you have a mission like Twitter -- you need to make big moves to keep strengthening the platform. This work is meaningful and on-going. Hereโs more insight on our work to ensure the authenticity of our user base. ๐
On this July 4, an American holiday typically synonymous with baseball, just wanted to thank Commissioner Rob Manfred for permanently ruining @MLB.
Used to attend Angels & Dodgers games every 4th of July. But now? Absolutely zero interest.
After the last 48 hours on Twitter, it's still absolutely mind-boggling that people are dumb enough to actually trust Twitter with their personal information in order to "get verified."
Elon Musk is destroying his social media platform from within.
