@CococonutGun Flusterstorm is an odd card out here, it often functions as a better spell pierce that has some niche use cases too. Also sometimes the stack just gets big and these effects can be beneficial in that very niche situation

I have not watched a single episode of TADC but I think Jax is a trans woman solely based on the fact that she is expected to be a perfect person despite being trapped in a literal torture nexus

I think the desire to draw trans women with male features in some circles is sometimes driven by blatent transmisogyny, and in any case its effect is transmisogyny as well, but I think what’s more often behind the intent is this obsession with trying to be as “subversive” as popular.

It’s completely misguided of course, transitioning is the height of gender subversion and staying aligned to your agab is what society wants us to do, but they, sometimes correctly, see cis feminine gay men and cis butch lesbians as the most subversive cis people can get, but they incorrectly diagnose this, those things are subversive and gender non conforming because it is a deviation from agab, a gay man being feminine with a beard is not subversive because of the beard, it’s the femininity that is subversive the beard is what’s accepted.

They also view being clocked as being subversive so clocky features are what’s focused on, when being clocky is just a roll of the dice on social position and genetics. Their idea of defying gender norms is basically informed by drag race, not politics and not what power structures enforce and curtail.

@FlowersSunRain_ I feel kind of similarly. Also they say things like "we should have these rehabilitative places for almost all criminals" and I go "yeah sure I agree with that but that doesnt sound mutually exclusive with prison tbh"
