Teacher! Lifelong learner! I am excited to share all the fun things happening in our classroom this year! #Npossible#NCpride @CoxsCreekElem #CCbulldogPRIDE
I seriously have some of the sweetest 2nd grade students in my homeroom class! They are always creating the most beautiful and thoughtful crafts and drawings for me. π
Our class went out in the snow for a few minutes yesterday! This experience will be used for me to model descriptive personal narrative writing next week! βοΈ
For Pride Week the students were asked to dress up like someone who inspires them and Kaitlyn wore a name tag with my name! Super proud and thankful teacher moment!
The 2nd graders have been studying community and citizenship. To end our unit, they made a life size citizen in art class and used sticky notes to label how the citizen could use their brain, feet, hands, heart, mouth, eyes and ears to solve community issues and help others.
We asked questions and got a live update about our adopted classroom cow, Brynlee, today! She is now 8 months old and has gained over 300lbs since birth. I wish I had took a video of the kids faces when she first appeared on the screen, so much excitement!
Here are a few more Red Ribbon Week pictures! The students were creative with the skits and learned to think carefully before acting in lots of different scenarios. We love our counselor, Mrs. Nuzzo, for making awesome lessons.
Red Ribbon Week Skits! My 2nd graders enjoyed learning about making healthy choices. They made skits about how to say no to peer pressure. Thanks to Mrs. Nuzzo for some great lessons this week!
