@bethanyjbabcock This is a non-profit with a lot of great checklists, resources, etc. for widows. They also match people with pro bono advisors for a limited engagement to help with the initial decisions. I just signed up to volunteer with them if she is interested https://t.co/RneQVnuxHY
@ArlanWasHere@Backstage_Cap I've been following your story for years and am so inspired by what you've accomplished so far! Just invested and am excited to see what comes next 💫
@sairarahman I used Kaplan materials for all three - just the guides and practice booklets, no classes. Would definitely recommend creating a study schedule that finishes your review 1 month before exam, then spend that time on practice tests
@mcuban the decision to base self employment income off net income, not gross 1099 received, on draft 2019 returns, did not reflect actual cash realities of running the business. Depreciation on a new truck counted against someone previously growing but now needing cash to survive 3/3
@mcuban Although the app itself is simple, the documents required to prove payroll were difficult to understand for many sole proprietors/independent contractors and the rules kept changing. Additionally, for people applying as a sole prop or single member LLC with no employees, 2/3
Love this beautiful cover of badass boss Katrina Lake @kmlake. StitchFix raised $43M funding, Kat IPO’ed at age 34 (and rang the NASDAQ bell w/her toddler on her hip), and is doing $1.2B in revenue. An inspiration to founders and working women everywhere. https://t.co/sclKLNVf3p
Talent is everywhere. Opportunity is not.
The goal of inclusion work is not "More black folk!" Or "More women!" The lack of black folk and women is a symptom of the root cause: opportunity to succeed and thrive is not evenly distributed.
