FIRE BAN LIFTED in @cityofwoodstock June 13, 2023 – The Open-Air Burning ban for those who have existing, and current permits has been lifted, effective 4:00 p.m. today. Residents are reminded to abide by the open-air burning requirements as outlined in the bylaw.

Effective August 18, 2021, the Lansdowne Avenue Entrance and Parking Area for the Pittock South Shore Trail will be temporarily closed to Trail users.
The closure encompasses the parking area off Lansdowne and the adjacent fifty metre segment of trail leading southwesterly.

The harmless adults drink nectar, and they live in crop fields, woods, and suburban gardens.

We are not be able to issue new permits until further restrictions are lifted and we can enter homes to see that all alarms are up to date and working as per the bylaw.

Carolinian forests in Ontario are similar to forests in North and South Carolina. Tulip Trees produce beautiful yellow-green flowers. The Kentucky Coffee Tree is a threatened species in Ontario.

For our Seasonal Campers, we are currently experiencing a power outage at the Conservation Area. The outage is outside the park and restoration time is currently unknown.
We were notified that a harmless pet Corn Snake was released @PittockCA in Woodstock last week. If anyone observes this harmless snake, take a picture and report the exact location immediately to Scott Gillingwater, Species At Risk Biologist, [email protected]
