A tidbit about Pope Leo XIV: An eyewitness confirmed Fr. Prevost has offered the TLM in Chicago.
Another tidbit: The late Fr. Dudley Day, a highly respected Augustinian priest who had his own confessional at Chicago's St. John Cantius parish (run by the traditionalist Canons Regular of St. John Cantius), served as spiritual director to the Midwest Augustinians, including a young Fr. Prevost. He helped Fr. Prevost discern his vocation to the Augustinians.
According to those who knew him, Fr. Day "suffered great misunderstanding by 'modernizers' who objected to his unwavering committment to the Holy Father and the Magisterium."
He served as pastoral associate at St. John Cantius because they shared the same values.

Huge crowds as I was walking home after Pope's funeral Sat. People were patient & moving until a woman shoved her way through the crowd demanding people move. I said she was impolite. Her response: "I'm a report with @Wapo!" They really think they're better than the rest of us.
I was in the square when he first emerged from the loggia. I was there again today when they carried his casket out of St. Peter's Basilica. Franciscus requiscat in pace.
I have not been on Twitter in quite a while, but did just want to post my deep gratitude to @SenMcConnell. Fifteen years ago he recommended me to then Pres. Obama for a seat on the @LSCtweets Board. It's been such a pleasure for me to serve. Thank you, Sen. McConnell.
Sen. Mitch McConnell (@SenMcConnell): "Seven times my fellow Kentuckians have sent me to the Senate...Representing our Commonwealth has been the honor of a lifetime. I will not seek this honor an eighth time. My current term in the Senate will be my last."
