FREE ALL POLITICAL PRISONERS!
The problem with coming up to fight bad governance in Uganda is that many people will look at it as your exclusive responsibility to do so. They’ll then sit aside and start theoretically analysing and criticising your efforts - what you are doing right or not. While they are affected by the same problems you are fighting, it is not their primary duty to do anything about the problems beyond playing like linesmen and disinterested scholars. Even under harsh political environments, they’ll call you weak and mock you for being beaten by a system you should be joining hands to face. That is how even those who try end up quietly withdrawing.
My attitude is to respect, support and encourage those who try to do what I can’t do but that I find necessary to be done. Let everyone add what they can, not just feeling entitled to being saved by another perfect person.
Good people, I have no words🥹🥹 thank you for your support, concern and love. I am not okay but what a relief to be alive and back home! I still can’t believe @bonifacemwangi and I made it out alive. When 5 mean looking men and one woman pushed us into a very dark car where I almost sat on guns and very violently blindfolded us and drove off, I thought it was over! Anyway, I will say more later. Let me sleep some more. But I appreciate all of you❤️❤️ still overwhelmed by calls and messages, but I can’t respond to all of them for now.
Boniface Mwangi was deported and abandoned at a border. His people are saying he is not okay and getting medical help!!!
Guys!!!😭😭😭😭😭
WHERE IS AGATHER????!!!!!

Eddie Mutwe was abducted on April 28th and is currently being held without charge. His detention is illegal, and he has been subjected to humiliation and mistreatment. Eddie is a victim of political persecution.

He said he will hang @kizzabesigye1, kill @HEBobiwine and now he is torturing a young Ugandan Eddie Mutwe in the name of Banyankole. This is the time all Banyankole and every Ugandan should speak out against this impunity. Retweet with the hashtag #NotInMyName.

Congratulations, chairman. You made us proud by emerging victorious at the @AUC.
On behalf of Pan-Africanists, I would like you to help free Dr. @kizzabesigye1 (whose picture I paste below for your convenience), a Ugandan leader and freedom fighter, who is languishing in illegal detention, being tortured and who is probably dying as I post this message.
Please speak with President @KagutaMuseveni and explain to him that unless Dr. @kizzabesigye1 is released immediately so that he can get urgent medical attention, he will die in jail. His condition is dire.
I thank you most sincerely.

Appalled by the criminal regime's adamant refusal to free Dr. @kizzabesigye1, whose continued detention without trial not only violates the Constitution but also slaps the Supreme Court and its recent decision in the face. He is evidently sick and frail and in need of urgent medical attention. Perhaps his shocking images look good to Museveni, who is persecuting him, and his son, who says that Dr. Besigye will only come out of prison in a coffin or after kneeling down before his brutal father!
I call upon all citizens of the world to join us in demanding for the immediate freedom of Dr. Kizza Besigye and the other prisoners of conscience. While these are definitely very dark times for our country, I want us to find courage in the song which Dr. Besigye loves to sing: DEEP IN MY HEART, I DO BELIEVE WE SHALL OVERCOME SOME DAY.
