I know that's basically how they use Custodes in this game, but I really do think it would sell the fantasy more if there were less of them but stronger.

They're getting called a Larper for this but they're kinda not wrong. I think that space marines would benefit from being an army where you take an overall lower model count. I go out of my way to bring 3 dreadnoughts and a tank, and my list is still always near 50 models.

Playing 40K, the actual miniatures game, didn't give an accurate feeling of what Space Marines were meant to be.

They are meant to be like a one-man army, like a demigod.

They tower over humans. Their lifespan is in the centuries or millennia.

Their religious zeal is like that of a living saint.

Their Primarchs have life stories like an Icelandic saga.

You request aid for your planet against a million Tyranids or whatever and they send you a single squad or company of Marines.

In the game you might have 30 Space Marines fighting 45 Tyranids. And the Marines have strength 4 while a normal human is strength 3.

Just doesn't get the scale right.

Fun detail in the new #MTGxTheHobbit set - the Dragon Hoard showcase for Smaug's card has a missing scale, representing his weak spot. The scales are complete on all the others revealed so far. Love details like this!!

Muscle memory is a powerful thing. I had to completely reset my reaper hotbar in XIV after a near year of me being gone, and I was able to put it exactly as it was due to my soul feeling wrong when I pressed buttons out of the usual order lmao
