Paul, you’re tweeting this midday on a Thursday. I need you to use your head and really try and think.
What might someone be doing this time of day that would make them stop playing Marathon?
(Hint, it’s been a few years since you’ve had to do this yourself)
@Swarles12 It really sucks knowing how close we were to getting a conclusion to Xivu’s story. I feel so bad for the devs. They were probably super excited to show off what they were working on only for them to be told to toss it in the home stretch.
It’ll probably hit me eventually, but it kinda bothers me how I feel mostly nothing about Destiny 2 getting its final update with no apparent future for the series.
Over a decade of my life put into it, and I just couldn’t get myself to play it again after stopping during EOF.
I would be down to play a Destiny 3. I do think the series needs some kind of reset for many reasons (technical debt mostly IMO).
I really wish I cared more. I don’t like feeling so distant from something that shaped so much of my life and me as a whole.
I guess that’s just a long winded way of me saying that I think I’ve already moved on. I never wanted Destiny 2 or even Bungie to fail. I love Marathon and it’s the best shooter I’ve played in years.
I feel awful for the people still playing. Destiny really is a special game.
