I went to the Kansai Expo this week.
Myaku-Myaku was pretty cute-I really liked it.
I entered the Expo on a weekday evening, so it wasn't too crowded.
Even so, I couldn't get into any country pavilions because the lines were so long.
Still, the Expo was very attractive.
I've quit drinking at home for over a month now, and I've noticed a lot of benefits.
One of them is that not drinking makes dinner simpler and easier.
For example, tonight's dinner was salad and poached chicken with udon noodles.
Yeah-meal prep has gotten a lot easier.
It was raining cats and dogs today.
But despite the weather, I bought an iPhone 16 Pro at the Apple Store.
The store was crowded—I got wet, but I got a new phone.
I'm getting weak when it comes to drinking. I had a drink yesterday-for the first time in a while-and maybe that's why I didn't feel well until noon today.
Today was tough but fun. I walked 10,000 steps and lost all four Pokémon card matches-no wins, as always. Anyway, it feels like I'm going to sleep well tonight.
I cooked Korean-style oatmeal poridge for my lunch - it's kind of like a kimchi stew. I used clams, seaweed, spinach, and of course, kimchi. It tasted really good.
I'm going to cook oatmeal poridge with frozen mackerel. Until now, I've been using canned mackerel, but the frozen kind has no sodium-so I can control my sodium intake better. I'm concerned about consuming too much sodium.
I bought lots of coffee beans and wines at various stores.
Among them, I especially like the coffee beans from Costco-and the wine too.
However, I've quit drinking at home.
I'm going to cook oatmeal with ready-made pasta sauce. I'll use tomato basil sauce, frozen broccoli, with a hard boiled egg. It's easy-and surprisingly tasty.
Eating sweets at midnight is a sweet sin.
I had a couple of Canelé that my daughter made.
Today was a tough daythe weather was really depressing.
But in the end, the day closed on a sweet note.
Over the past couple of days, I've been drinking Mediterranean bulletproof coffee—coffee with olive oil and lemon.
It gives the coffee a smoother taste, and it's a good way to get more unsaturated fatty acids.
Healthy and surprisingly enjoyable.
I watched Star Wars: Episode III at the 20th anniversary screening. My friend and I watched it together 20 years ago. You have been gone for 10 years now... but somehow, it felt like we watched it together again. Maybe you had a seat saved in the galaxy far, far away.
I had an interesting experience-I rode a fully electric bus today. It was really quiet. No engine noise at all... because, well, it doesn't have an engine. The interior was flat, So it was easy to walk around. Overall, I really liked the electric bus.
I tried a coffee brewing method I saw on TV.
The method is simple: mix ground coffee and pour hot water.
Hmm...
I'm not sure what the taste difference is compared to the usual method, but I think it has a slightly more refreshing taste.
Anyway, it's not any harder to make.
