@jessphillips Try needing care at home, it's an absolute joke. Mum regularly says she would have been better off if she had died. The elderly shouldn't be made to feel this way.
@fklein907 My friend's son had a cheese wheel as his birthday cake on his 7th birthday as he also disliked cake ๐ My friend did make a cake for the guests who didn't want cheese, just a simple tray bake. Apparently most of the kids wanted cheese over cake
@RevDaniel@MaryKay15 My grandfather once told me he didn't fight in a war only to hate people for things they couldn't change. Alas, his children (now in their 70s) are less tolerant, and their boomer children even less so ๐ข

@ask_aubry Ah yes, being called selfish for making the choice best for you, your body, and a hypothetical child, by someone whose involvement in pregnancy can be non-existent by choice.
@NicoletteFuller@ask_aubry That could be classed as wasting valuable resources like oxygen... Accidentally losing them at the bottom of slurry pits is probably a better option ๐
@MartinSLewis It has been covered though, I've been aware of it for a long time. It isn't the lack of coverage, it's the unwillingness to listen and take things in until it's spoon-fed
@adi_kumar1 How NHS treated my dad with dementia: Admitted w kidney infection. Moved to community hosp to 'recover'. Leave him to starve & develop severe bed sores. Send home confused & emaciated to die. I heard the manager begging for help as they were dangerously understaffed w full wards
@ask_aubry I worked w an ex-army officer who called his wife the cleaner, and when she wanted to retire said it was no big deal as she was only a cleaner. She owned a cleaning agency w over 100 cleaners on staff & sold it to retire. He & his cronies are so gross, glad I no longer work there
@yashar I used to break out in hives for no apparent reason. It got to the point where my skin was splitting and felt like leather. I gave up dairy in 2018 and haven't had another occurrence. I'm assuming I was low-key lactose intolerant, which was causing other issues
@PatblakeBlake @ask_aubry Years ago I was running on the treadmill next to a handsome man who kept fondling his pecs - I nearly fell off the treadmill trying not to laugh ๐๐
