In a viral video clip, a Pakistani admits, "Lahore was once 75% Hindu. We looted all their wealth and finished them."
My father's family would certainly vouch for that.

In June 1947, as per their usual summer routine, my grandparents left for the hills of Joginder Nagar leaving their young 15-year old son (my father) behind to complete his exams. Despite the palpable tension in the air, communal riots were not unusual, and they believed this too would pass.

But it didn’t.
The 75% lost everything - their homes, wealth, and lives - at the hands of the 25%.

Have Hindus historically been poor at assessing imminent danger?
They fight back with remarkable courage once struck, often seeking justice or revenge, but why does it always take a life-and-death situation for that response to emerge?
