I’ve exclusively flown @AmericanAir for 2-3 trips/month, for the last 4 yrs. Exec Plat status is not easy to earn just by flying. They screwed up a res of mine, resulting in me losing the LPs and missing status by 6k pts, and basically said “oops, but oh well.” Awesome.

@zebraca79 @AmericanAir I booked a hotel thru AA’s hotel program for 6k pts. I drove 4 hours to said hotel. AA screwed up the reservation, and I had no room (despite a confirmation). I had to pay nearly twice as much to get a last minute room. I’m not spending another penny to “buy” points.
