@colinsutton Sadly just the same kind of conversation that took place in Germany in the early 1930s. To support Reform UK Party Limited is to support people who are not accountable to their ‘members’ and who want to rule only in line with their ideology. Don’t be fooled.
@benhabib6@MayorofLondon A thoroughly deserved honour for @MayorofLondon He’s lasted longer and retained public support longer than most prime ministers and all previous Mayors. And he’s never had to move between parties or appeal to bigots to be a success
@BritLad95@Keir_Starmer So did you report her needs so that the local charities and services could help her? None of us know her real position, whether she has problems beyond apparently losing WFA, etc… As a concerned neighbour you should be getting her support before picking up the megaphone.
@AllisonPearson On your logic, people without children also pay for a school place and people with children have only paid for one. If you choose to buy a service then you pay VAT. Decisions not to charge VAT to one section of the community are the very definition of a tax break.
@AllisonPearson That’s not why VAT is not charged in the EU. The EU VAT directive prevents nations charging differently on services in competition. So unless all 27 agree, it can’t be charged. Finally, 8 years after the referendum, a positive benefit from Brexit.
@AllisonPearson No they are just making people pay tax like everyone else. No reason exists for all the other taxpayers subsidising these parents. Schools have known this policy for years and they should have prepared.
@TVKev Nothing justifies attacking and beating up the police, trying to set people on fire, inciting violence and hatred. The King rightly ignored the pretend justifications of bigots and thugs. Communities came together to defy this stupidity and those who did were heroic.
