We have had another successful rhubarb harvest this year, with the stems having been cut, graded and frozen for food manufacturers. We have also been planting different varieties to look out for; Stockbridge Arrow, Livingstone and Goliath #rhubarb #newseason

Place UK is currently harvesting this year’s forced rhubarb. The crop is grown in dark conditions thus the plant does not photosynthesise. As a result, it produces a sweet and tender pink stem which is perfect for a delicious rhubarb crumble!

Place UK held a wellbeing week to support and highlight the importance of physical and mental health. There were competitions and activities, including a skipping and rowing challenge. There were also health 'MOTs', a recipe challenge and the popular smoothie bike #wellbeing

Place UK is growing their first crop of chick peas at a field in Tunstead, with a variety called Pascia. The fields were cultivated and then were drilled in June. The crop has grown nicely and we look forward to harvesting.

Place UK has completed this year’s main rhubarb harvest for the freezer factory. The rhubarb is cut, frozen and then packaged into 18kg boxes ready for sale in pallet quantities. Our Timperley rhubarb is perfect to add to yoghurts, gins, chutneys and many types of desserts.
