The U.S. is considering imposing an additional 10% tariff on Canada for non-compliance with forced labour import ban provisions under CUSMA.
We should focus on what we can control and do what we can
The government should bring forward the two long-awaited pieces of legislation that were ready as of December 2024: the Import Ban legislation and the Supply Chain Due Diligence legislation. They should be tabled and passed without further delay.
Banning products made with forced labour is not only the right thing to do—it is required under our domestic laws, our trilateral commitments under CUSMA, and our international obligations.
Alternatively, there is already a bill tabled by @SPSTremblay that is comparable to the U.S. #UFLPA.
Make it law. Make compliance clear. Make enforcement easy.
The Canadian public has been told this agreement exists. But we have not been told what it actually says — because the RCMP has stated it will not release the document without Beijing’s permission.
That is not how a democracy operates. Canadians do not need a foreign government’s consent to know what their own police force has agreed to.
We call on the Government of Canada to release all details of the RCMP–Ministry of Public Security MOU to Parliament and the Canadian public immediately.
This agreement was not signed in a vacuum. It was signed against a backdrop of sustained, documented, and escalating interference by the People’s Republic of China against Canada and Canadians.

@DHSgov Central to his effort as Senate leader to push through his ‘white flight’ policy fantasy is his murky narrative that this specific pattern of demographic displacement will somehow boost Canadian prosperity. https://t.co/nJUYVXDb7j
Senator Woo is a chief instigator here; Canadian Jews are central to his white flight policy push in Senate and related pro-Hamas advocacy on X. https://t.co/hCsgBpQTWd @DHSgov
Toronto, is your bank in bed with the Chinese Communist Party? Your mayor is!
Last year we brought you the GTA bank VP who headed two CCP proxy groups, the latter the subject of TNOC and national security investigations; few seemed to care, no visible action was taken...
As Chinese Wotaihua adds Quebec’s Greens to the CCP United Front that occupies the land where the rare earth and oil fields of demoralized Canada once stood, will the anti-colonial left join the patriotic right?
@RuleofLawCanada New World Order! The VPD Sergeant (and former CCP police station board chair) who then went to Beijing for further training is now an MLA. https://t.co/nuv7STNDd5

Do not skip over this Bureau find.
The CCP propaganda monument seen below is a Yasukuni Shrine built by Canada's enemies that exists only due to ex-MPP Soo Wong's earlier policy work for the CCP in Ontario's Legislature.

I believe that @yuenpauwoo is abusing his position as a Senator to pursue a personal vendetta. He has no direct knowledge of the visa/ETA status of Guy Hochman and is making unsubstantiated claims against him.
I would urge @SenGagne to investigate this abuse of his office immediately.
A decade ago, the PRC’s Ministry of State Security held a closed-door conference in Vancouver wherein planning CCP access to Canada’s resources was the focus. Various distractions took precedent until now.
Hate to say it, but you can make the case the majority Canadian interest is held hostage by 1. A circle of China invested industrialists 2. The politicians they control. 3. The captured or incurious media close to those politicians 4. Low information voters underneath the above.
Too many are assuming Carney recruited Ma rather than the reverse.
Carney was flailing, desperate for both floor-crossers and a trade deal.
Ma, known to have a close association with the PRC consulate and some notable UFWD operatives, suddenly delivers both.
