IT'S OUR DAY OF ACTION!
Today our hubs are taking action across the country to throw down for the #CivilianClimateCorps and make sure we're getting the biggest infrastructure package possible to combat the climate crisis.

Today would be a great day for @POTUS to cancel at least $50,000 of student loan debt per borrower. That would be life changing for millions.

Since the start of the pandemic:
💸Elon Musk's wealth has grown 562%
💸Mark Zuckerburg's wealth has grown 130%
💸Jeff Bezos' wealth has grown 88%
💸Bill Gates' wealth has grown 31%
Meanwhile, 76 million Americans lost their jobs. It's time to tax the rich.
For some on Capitol Hill, it’s not about what we can do for our country, but what the country can do for their vacation.
Call your member of Congress and tell them to stay at work until we finish the job.
States haven’t released rent relief. We need to extend the moratorium.
Nowhere in America can someone working full-time at a minimum wage job afford a 2 BR apartment. If we had given everyone $2k/mo during the worst of the pandemic, the eviction crisis might not be the humanitarian disaster it is now. “Go get a job” is cruel advice.
It is unacceptable that the House adjourned without urgently passing legislation to keep people in their homes, when more than 11.4 million people will begin facing eviction tomorrow.
The moratorium was meant to conclude with the end of the pandemic, and it is nowhere near over.

Good morning. The eviction moratorium expires tonight at midnight.
We could have extended it yesterday, but some Democrats went on vacation instead.
We slept at the Capitol last night to ask them to come back and do their jobs.
Today’s their last chance. We’re still here.
Approximately two seconds before the eviction moratorium is set to expire, the White House finally issues a statement confirming that CDC will not extend it. This message should have come weeks ago, alongside real efforts to move Congress to a solution.

Hundreds of us missed our flights and trains home and were prepared to stay as long as necessary to get this done. It's unacceptable that millions of Americans will be at risk of eviction because a handful of members refused to do the right thing and extend this moratorium.
