If you do reply, tell me your favorite BA cunny.
Saw this on the playstore if this does help keep them going during non meta banners then it is a good thing for blue archive long term revenue wise.
Don't get me wrong I still hate they did this so quickly and they deserve the backlash.
But if it means the game will survive income wise better more long term it's a good thing for the game going forward if what this person said is true. Which I believe it is.
If I ignore the tickets ultimately this new systems only bad thing is you can't get 2 rateup characters within 200 pulls anymore unless you are lucky but that's not alot different than how it was before unless you were really lucky you'd only spark and get one character.
So we should continue to complain about it so they don't get too greedy but I do think the change is umtimately a nothing burger for people who only want to pull for one character.
But I'm still not 100% sure if it works how I think it does for example if I choose a specific character like ibuki for example would that be the one that if I get it resets the points?
If that's the case I genuinely don't even care about the change then. I usually just want and can only afford to get one character anyways.
Please let me know
Alright so I still don't like this new system but it's also not as bad as I thought. I thought if you get any purple character at 100 pulls the 50/50 chance it resets your shit but it seems it only resets if you get the specific rate up characters. But I'm still concerned about getting one of the 2 but not the one I want for example I want ibuki but I got iroha and being reset and having to spend another 200 to get ibuki for example unless I'm wrong about this the new system is potentially better but also potentially worse it's a mixed bag and I still hate it and I'm glad they're getting rightful backlash for all of this. Especially putting a pop-up in the gacha screen. Literally FUCK YOUR OWN FACE @Blue_ArchiveJP
Okay now I understand how the new gacha system works it gives you a guaranteed purple at 100 rolls and does not reset your progress. It's still bad compared to before but it's not as bad as I was thinking.
But just one question what determined the character selected in the right? Is that the current banner rate up character? What of there's two characters? Is it the one you chose for the spark?
Worst part about this meme is choosing ibuki and not getting her and getting someone else at 50/50 and then it resetting spark so you can't get her unless you do 300 pulls total or maybe it does it a second time you get someone else and now u need 400 total unless it doesn't work like that
As a new player I hate how every time u open the game it shoves a pop up in your face before you even login to the game on top of it taking forever to load and another one once you login both of which don't let you do anything till you click off the pop-ups and I hate that.
@PlanatonicplapA Even more funny I see some JP player upload they Gacha video but find out pop up show up is like forcing use to buy lmao this Blue Archive beyond saving now get control by the CEO Jew
im still concerned that you could spend 100 pulls 12k pyroxene not get the character you want and based on what you said lose all the rewards after that including the tickets if im understanding what you said correctly. and then being forced to spend 200 more to get the character you want. you only get the free tickets after 100 pulls idk if it still continues to go up in rewards after 100 pulls if you do get a featured character and just your call points get reset but based on what you said it sounds like everything is reset.
ignore the free pulls that are temporary and don't cross over to new banners and this all falls apart.
STOP trying to make excuses for their new system.
Its abysmal dogshit.
If they would just remove the resetting pity bullshit this would all be better.
(second-to)FINAL UPDATE!!!
TLDR: The new system is MATHEMATICALLY better because the free pulls carry tf out of it(if the free pulls add to the pity)
First of all, I'd like to apoligize for admittedly a lot of rushed math that unexpectedly blew up. It was never a final version, rather my first impressions upon seeing the announcement from my friends and before BA posted their blog post(to my knowledge).
I recently finished my new system, and my conclusions are... mixed... and I'll definitely make a video on it still but it's not 100% bad/good. It's just a mixed feeling that just never needed to happen.
Screenshot 1 is an average count of about 5000 players simulating 200 pulls per banner rotation for 10 banners. This is with the transferrable pity, rewards, AND REWARDS COUNTING TOWARDS PITY(who knows they might pull an endfield). It won 78.4% scenarios.
Screenshot 2, on the other hand, is the same, except if the rewards don't count towards pity(The old system wins 1.5% more scenarios, but honestly that can be seen as negligable/sidegrade)
In all honesty, the 40(200)-80(400) extra pulls carry the hell out of the new system. Without those, the new system gets cooked so hard it's not even funny. (Screenshot 3, 20 banners, 90% win rate)
However, I still have my thoughts on the new gacha system that stems beyond math and just into gameplay.
The fourth screenshot is comparing a typical banner rotation where you want BOTH students. There are notable spikes at 200, 400, and 300 (There should be one at 100, but this random seed was a bit more spread out).
Essentially, the way I interpret the data(you are free to disagree) is that each spike can be a source of excitement for a player, as thats when you get the student, or get a student for free since you already GOT the student.
In that regard, the new system essentially flattens out this graph much more, when the worst case scenario of 400 pulls for 2 is the exact same.
We are basically now getting rid of the feeling of cheating a system or "benefitting from a system" for the replacement of "getting lucky in a system's 50/50". In my opinion, 40 free pulls can't recreate that feeling to that level, even if you are legitimately benefitting from it.
There's this common psychology term called "negative asymmetry", which basically means that humans give more weight, attention, and impact to negative events, information, and traits than to positive ones. In this case, I believe it is just that. No math can change our brains, and this semi-upgrade/sidegrade was overall a net-negative.
Now, I can theorize all day long about why they did the change to seemingly flatten the curve or even seemingly benefit players when Nexon just announced a 7-trillion won revenue goal up from their 4.5-trillion, but I believe that is a discussion for another time.
