As per usual, all is quiet on the western front in southern ontario. Meanwhile, the real action is between Barrie & North Bay. Right where everyone hyped it up to be! #onwx#onstorm
Massive wildfires burn in Ontario Canada just outside Toronto, giving the city the worst air quality in the world.
The fires have been caused by 37c temperatures and high winds.
Hard to disagree with this post...
How many adults have been working outside in this smoke for the past 2 days...
Yes, the air quality is poor but sometimes life goes on and people dont have the privilege to stay inside all day or work from home
When air quality was poor back in 2023, there weren't blanket closures/ cancelations because of the smoke/ poor air quality
People know their limitations and take precautions as needed

Pretty remarkable layer of thick, dense surface layer smoke in London. Easily worse than 2023. Pretty wild to experience here, can’t imagine the scenes in NW Ontario. #onwx#onstorm
Pretty thick coverage of surface level smoke over the majority of Central & Southern Ontario. Intrigued to see how this compares to Summer 2023 #onwx#onstorm
@1210ner@StormhunterTWN@weathernetwork Atmospheric conditions were present for tornadic storm development but the smoke, cloud cover and earlier rains didn’t allow the heating to trigger storms. Had the instability been there (cut off due to smoke/cloud cover) severe chances were fairly high
