Let's learn about where our volunteers @CoralChell and @LynneVenart will be traveling in Madagascar, and where they'll bring our education kits!
First is Ankarafantsika National Park, where Coral is studying coquerel's sifakas for her PhD.

Good news from the field! 📣
2023 #WhitleyAward winner Mamy Razafitsalama and his @PlanetMada team have started work on their project, clearing 16km of land to create fire breaks - gaps in vegetation that act as a barrier to slow or stop the progress of forest fires.
Extreme heat and dry conditions fuel widespread wildfires around the world - in Madagascar, 95% of fires are caused by humans.
2023 @WhitleyAwards winner Mamy Razafitsalama (@PlanetMada) is featured in @ForbesScience for his work with local people to save the forests & lemurs.
My latest for @forbesscience: @WhitleyAwards winner Mamy Razafitsalama + @PlanetMada conservationists in #Madagascar are working with local communities to reduce forest fires and preserve the country's iconic #lemur species. https://t.co/upHit7GFOz
