The second nighttime missile attack by Russia against Kyiv in a week. Overnight, at least 9 people were killed and 28 injured, including four children.
Among the terrorist state's targets were residential apartment buildings, cars, public parks, administrative buildings, ambulances, a shop, utility buildings, and a film studio. Fires and destruction were reported across five districts of Kyiv.
Every delay in strengthening Ukraine's air defense leads to more Russian war crimes. Ukraine urgently needs additional air and missile defense systems, as well as interceptors, to save more lives.
Since last night, response efforts have been underway in Kyiv and the surrounding region following Russia’s strike. There were numerous fires across the city. Seven districts were affected, and, as usual, the Russians struck ordinary residential buildings. Eighteen residential buildings, a school, the Lithuanian Embassy, and infrastructure facilities were damaged. As of now, nine people have been reported killed in this attack. My condolences to their families and loved ones. Dozens of people were injured. Medical teams are helping everyone who needs it.
Overnight, the Russians launched 35 missiles at Ukraine, including 27 ballistic missiles, as well as 185 attack drones of various types. Kyiv was the primary target, but strikes also hit the Dnipro, Sumy, Kharkiv, and Poltava regions. Only one ballistic missile was intercepted, simply because there are no interceptors for the Patriot systems. And it is this shortage of ballistic missile interceptors that only encourages Russia to launch such attacks that take human lives.
It is critical that partners hear that these capabilities are needed not somewhere in stockpiles for hypothetical scenarios, but here and now, to contain and stop the Russian war in Ukraine. Every package of ballistic missile interceptors saves the lives of our people. And every night without them results in more casualties. I thank everyone who is working to strengthen our defenses.
⚡️Update: At least 9 killed, 28 injured in Kyiv as Russia launches 2nd major attack in 48 hours.
Among the victims are four children, while 105 people have been rescued from damaged buildings across five districts of the capital.
"He [Putin] is a monstrous person, and the society that supports him is deeply sick... They choose to spread death," Zhanna Maidanska, whose relatives survived in a partially destroyed building in Solomianskyi district, told the Kyiv Independent.

@Jo72794Ok@CaolanReports Removing that context is rather like removing the first chapter of a murder mystery and declaring the butler innocent because you never read who picked up the knife.
For those interested in foreign interference in Australia, here is a video of Jillian Segal in a private forum (approx early 2025) revealing that the USA put pressure on Albanese and his govt to create her position

Grift? Never once have I asked for money on Twitter. Never once have I taken donations. And any ad revenue I get I donate to Ukraine.
Maybe you’re thinking of the guy who sells gold sneakers and pardons?
No, I do this altruistically. I’ll shit down your neck for free, vatnik.
@EricSwallowswel@gaughen@LetsArmUKR Hey mate,
I’m seriously not in the mood for this kind of shit right now.
You are barking up the wrong tree using the word “grift” within coowee of Kevin.
Now tuck your tail between your legs and toddle off.
@SavageQueen1808@MorctheOrc@rshereme ‘Ukraine is fighting for money’ is a bit like claiming firefighters are only interested in overtime.
The existence of funding doesn’t explain why the fire started.
ruZZia’s invasion does.
Nothing says ‘I’ve done my research’ quite like confidently misrepresenting the very document you’re citing.
The decree didn’t ban negotiations as such. It reflected Ukraine’s position after Putin attempted to annex occupied territory and ruled out negotiations with Putin under those circumstances. That’s a political and legal distinction large enough to drive a convoy through.
It’s always fascinating how people who insist everyone else ‘read the law’ seem to stop reading about halfway through the title.
The only thing being negotiated away here is context.

This morning, our team in Lviv woke to air-raid sirens.
At around 5 AM, russia launched missiles at our city. One struck a residential building. Another 400-kilogram warhead hit an apartment block. 21 residential buildings, a kindergarten, and a school had been damaged. Twenty-three people needed medical assistance. Thirteen are still in the hospital. One man did not survive.
We send our deepest condolences to his family.
This is not an abstract war. Every Ukrainian felt it in their own city, saw the terrifying results of russian attacks. Many lost their friends, families, or their own lives.
The only way to end this is to stop russia. Your donation goes directly to soldiers defending the Ukrainian land from the enemy right now.
