three characters of mine, drawn by the incomparable @ink_cornrbox! it's been an absolute joy to see these characters brought to life, and a pleasure to work with a great friend and incredible talent.
@ink_cornrbox idk the details of the case but they also have a buff because Futaba is like a cartoon hacker who could just Dark Knight the entire town’s phones until they figure out who it is
@MDMA_Ralsei@Bokononisme I've only played the CRPGs, but from what I recall, healing spells only undo the last instance of damage marked on the character- if they took a hit for 27 it'll heal 27, if it was just 4 they'll only heal for 4. Interesting balance choice
@wenchhaver huh? I'm hardly a shooter for clarke or heinlein but I wouldn't call their work YA. a lot of it is very pulpy but I wouldn't classify that as YA per se, I think they're meaningfully distinct categories
@ink_cornrbox that said not having social links for the male party members sucks, Reload did add a few one-off events with them that weren't in the original but it still feels kind of paltry compared to the development the women get
@ink_cornrbox as opposed to P5 where you could be ride-or-die with Ryuji before the second palace is done, but then your relationship with him doesn't really progress at all through the rest of the game
@adrestianloyal even with Bertrand emptying his country’s coffers, an army can’t eat gold, and supplying the nation’s entire store of grain to an army on the march isn’t really practical on any level
@adrestianloyal a moment of frustrating narrative dissonance between the game wanting to portray the practical realities of premodern war, where looting was necessary for an army on campaign to survive, and the traditional power-of-friendship heroics typical of the series
