When I first looked at microphotographs of Montney, I thought: “this stuff is biodegraded”. Nobody seemed to be aware of it, and there was no obvious sign of biodegradation (or they thought so). @GSC_CGC @NRCan#OrganicGeochemistry#Microbes

1/3 For the first time, I was not a student. With some experience now, it was humbling to have students/postdocs asking for advice, as well as to continue being mentored by those geochemists I’ve always admired.
@ElleChimiak To add on it. A scientist told me to give this and that suggestion to a coauthor of my poster, thinking they had led the work because they know them?; and I was like: “I am here 😂, talk to me” So Affiliations or not, there will always be some bias.
