Chicagoans,
⁹
Chicago is already facing billions in pension liabilities, debt, infrastructure needs, and ongoing budget pressures. Yet City Hall wants to spend approximately $50 million to purchase and renovate a bus terminal.
Before taking on another major expense, we need to ask some common-sense questions
• Why is this a priority right now?
• What alternatives were considered?
• What is the long-term cost to taxpayers?
• Why aren't we addressing crime, drug activity, vacant properties, and public safety concerns surrounding the area first?
If buses can already load and unload at 95th & Dan Ryan and near Union Station, is a $50 million public project truly necessary, or are taxpayers being asked to fund a convenience instead of an essential service?
As Mayor, I will not sign off on major spending projects without full transparency, a cost-benefit analysis, and public accountability.
My administration will conduct forensic audits, review every major contract, and ensure taxpayer dollars are invested where they deliver the greatest benefit to Chicago citizens.
Our priorities should be safe neighborhoods, strong infrastructure, economic growth, and services for the people who pay the bills. not more questionable spending decisions.
Chicagoans deserve answers before another $50 million leaves their pockets.

@larry_kudlow just heard Larry with Sandra Smith talking about gasoline prices. It'll take a while for it to come down, Larry says. But it's funny that as soon as a shot is fired the price skyrockets up immediately. It should work the same way in reverse regulate them buzzards
Et tu, Bears?
The Bears are not alone in fleeing the state. The franchise is following a long line of émigrés exiting over Illinois policies, primarily the nation-leading tax and fee burden. Since 2020 alone, some 450,000 residents have left Illinois, with 95% moving to lower-tax states.
Pritzker’s 57 tax and fee increases to date have cumulatively cost taxpayers more than $77 billion. He has added another seven this year that will take an additional $800 million annually. Property taxes during Pritzker’s tenure are taking another $8.5 billion annually from taxpayers.
Lamentably, a high percentage of residents leaving are higher-income earners. Residents leaving since Pritzker took office have average annual incomes between $23,000 and more than $38,000 higher than new arrivals—largely undocumented migrants dependent on government assistance.
The loss of young, higher-income earners to other states ranks second among those ages 26–35 and third among those ages 35–45 earning more than $200,000. This staggering loss portends a grim future for our state.
Half of Illinois residents polled last May said they would leave Illinois if they had the means.
@KhosroIsfahani I just heard you on the wilcane show and I completely agree with your analysis I don't understand why the president didn't keep up massive pressure until they surrendered literally surrender
Great message but I don't know why bill so worried it's just the Democrats protecting democracy you know how they like to do oh they're the big protectors Democrats protect democracy like JB pritzker protects Chicago from losing a football team
@BillOReilly@stephenasmith@NoSpinNews Enjoyed the segment with Steven A. However it is perplexing hearing Stevens rationale,if Steven be correct Unlimited random excuses be pulled from Air to mess up the MoJo. For the teams; This is it! You want to be a world beater? accept no excuses as to why you lost! Razor Focus!
Add to the conversation Jacxson Dart QB, was not speaking and representing the New York Giants he was speaking freely of his own opinion as Bill points out.
