When people say "I can't change," what they often mean is "I don't want to change."
The greatest barrier to adjusting behavior isn't a lack of skill. It's a lack of will.
Motivation fuels capacity. Before you teach people how to alter their habits, they need to find the why.
"I am just a human being trying to make it in a world that is rapidly losing it's understanding of what being kind is. Kindness is an integral part of our human nature, we must strive to return it to the forefront of our human experience." Robert John Meehan #kindness
I shouldn’t be, but I’m honestly kind of shocked how many of my peers have internalized the idea that school is the only place kids can learn what’s important to know
If you wait until you feel like it to try and change your attitude, you will never change. Lead yourself into feeling positive today as you face adversity.
@Ms_THorton @HumbleISD_LSE Way to be completely awesome in these times and use it to create amazing unique experiences that couldn’t be done without being at home. So impressed!!
@markmoore9517@JonGordon11 For the lesson we watched the following video and discussed why just one word vs a whole sentence or paragraph. https://t.co/A9P0Yiu0dK
@markmoore9517@JonGordon11 Please use it! The kids LOVED the lesson and it built in accountability. I would just use their word to redirect them. “What’s your one word?” “Achieve” “is what you are doing now helping you to achieve? How can I help you achieve today?”
If Houstonians have been around a large group of individuals, I encourage you to please get #COVID19 tested.
If you test positive and feel sick, please stay home. I am hoping and praying Houstonians will engage in personal responsibility.
Please #MaskUpHOU.
The 1,789 new #COVID19 cases is a grim reminder that we are heading in the wrong direction.
In March and April, I never reported these types of numbers.
This past Friday, I reported over 900+ cases. Saturday, over 800+. These two day totals, 1,700+.
