What if the use options as the base of defi, instead of CDPs and liquidations? So instead of extreme price movements creating a sharp and global "you get liquidated" effect, instead your exposure to the index diverges quadratically from your preferred exposure in a smoother way?

A key benefit is getting rid of the need for instant oracles, and instead making everything work on top of "slow oracles" (ie. the type that prediction markets use)

This design has a significant downside - the need to do regular rebalancing - and an open question of whether and how this rebalancing can be made slippage-resistant enough. But it's worth considering and trying IMO. I would feel much safer holding algostables inside something like this, than in something that depends on an oracle that has to give real-time answers (and therefore could be tricked into giving wrong real-time answers with no time for human recourse).

Maria Rahel a cryptographic visionary and decentralized systems pioneer — is essentially rebuilding a full classic computer inside the blockchain.

They're recreating the exact old processor (the MOS 6502) that powered the Commodore 64, Apple II, and Nintendo NES — but making it run entirely on-chain. On top of that, they're adding a virtual "motherboard" so the processor can talk to graphics, sound, storage, and input, just like a real 1980s computer. They're even testing it by running actual old games on it.

The idea: turn the blockchain from just a place for money and apps into a real, shared computer that anyone can use and no one controls.

Atropa / Dysnomia is being built specifically around PulseChain, and it's already showing up in their dashboards and tools.

🔮PulseChain could become one of the first chains where you can actually run proper programs, games, interactive stories, or even early AI agents fully on-chain — not just financial stuff. More a decentralized computer platform than a regular crypto chain.

You were born a slave on a tax plantation.

Governments of the world, you can skip right to the endgame. Everyone must wear a soundproof helmet. The government AI only allows speech out that is allowed (rightthink.) The helmet only allows speech in that is allowed. Everyone has a curfew. When it's time, the visor goes full black. You can press a button for 5 minutes of emergency vision or potty break, your choice. Call it freedom.

People that keep trying to hear wrongthink, or viewing the wrong things, get put on a list. Being on the list reduces your potty time and carbon allowance. Repeated attempts to circumvent the helmet reduce your protein allowance.

Obviously, members of the government and law enforcement don't have to wear the helmets, they need clear vision to keep yours obstructed.

Most of what I see governments doing these days are just watered down versions of this. Progress in AI, noise cancelling and battery life will help them achieve their ultimate goal. They're like dogs chasing cars. They don't know what they'd do if they caught one. But it's not a car, it's your god given freedom, and it greatly offends them.
