@RantAskew@itsAntWright They're still playing in the market. The Patriots play in bumfuck, not Boston. The Giants play in New Jersey. The Rams play over 10 miles from Downtown LA.
@PantsuTaigas@itsAntWright The "truth" about Illinois politics? The state has been dysfunctional for decades. It's well known. The Bears playing 20 miles away from downtown won't change anything.
@Brett_A_Taylor sigh* I'd really like it for Jed to just accept the commitments to older players on the roster and not move the bit of talent they're actually developing. No giving up Hartshorn, Ramirez, Wing, Wiggins, or Ballesteros for this team.
@OutOfTheVines@JacobCraft12 The only real quibble I have with their strategy is that they allocate too little to pitching. Most of the time they've invested there, it's given them value. Wicks has stalled, but Horton, Ferris, Wiggins, and now Wing have all been solid returns on large bonuses.
@JacobCraft12@OutOfTheVines Horton was good when he was healthy. Pitchers just get hurt. Smith was valuable enough to move for Tucker. Shaw and Wicks...meh. They're doing fine, overall. I'm more concerned about the player dev side than the amateur scouting side.
@nataliemj10 The most important thing for people to know is that the companies view you as a consumer. They want you to keep coming back. Validation hooks people.
