Last day of the break before screen tome goes through the roof so got out into the wilderness (within 15 miles) and enjoyed the beauty. Still too wet for anything productive at the plot.
@LifeatNo27 Sometimes all I need is to go and sit and watch for 15 minutes. Other times it’s digging and taking the rake to the earth, don’t know why but that is something I find really relaxing.
Hello allotment/gardening Twitter 😃👋..as you know there are rules with Allotment Fight Club but I’m going to have to allow a little bit of wriggle room on the first rule if this is going to work as a Twitter account! 🙉
These sweet peppers are prolific and beautiful to eat. I am impressed- if only I could remember the variety, labelling woes again this year! #whenWillIlearn
Quiet of late, focussing on keep keeping on but the allotment work hasn’t stood still. This years squash and pumpkin haul. Even after 4 big ones were rustled I’m happy.
@ShowAmateur hi I’m going to add growing some large show veg to my list to do this year. I’ve watched some of your epic accomplishments, what will be the easiest to start with? (Not squashes). Thanks
@ShowAmateur My@wife is from a small village that has a show every year- I’m always amazed at the produce. I think I could rustle up the ugliest carrot or parsnip! I know where to come for tips! 👍
@geraldstratfor3 I am a bit gutted but have a few others. Hoping they don’t go too. there hasn’t been much go missing on our site but that seems to be changing.
@ShowAmateur Must be a change up with no shows- good to see you still practicing and challenging yourself. I’m just growing for enjoyment and food but would like to show someday. Got to improve some techniques first!
@ShowAmateur I’d do the same to help anyone out. I always try to hide the pumpkins behind/with things. One of the other smaller ones could be seen which must have caught the eye. Frustrating. But there’s still some@others which are well on.
