But Venom’s biggest advantage has never been raw power. It’s the bond between Eddie and the symbiote and their ability to adapt.

🚨🚨 Finally found a an answer 🚨🚨They accepted Lockhart because Hogwarts was already desperate and Dumbledore was playing a longer game than “is this man qualified.” The Defense job was cursed. After Quirrell, nobody serious wanted to sit in that classroom for a full year. Lockhart was famous, the Ministry liked the look of him, and parents bought the books. That is not a staff vote on talent. That is a school taking the only celebrity who would walk into a post everyone else treated like a death sentence. Snape wanted the job and did not get it. McGonagall could smell the fraud from the first staff meeting. None of that mattered once the appointment was made.
Dumbledore almost certainly knew. Lockhart’s whole career was other people’s memories with the names swapped. A wizard that vain leaves a trail, and Dumbledore has spent decades reading trails. Hiring him anyway fits the way he runs the school. He lets students bump into the truth instead of handing them a memo. A year of Lockhart teaches the kids that fame is not the same thing as skill, that a smile and a book deal can get you a classroom, and that the adult world will clap for a fraud if the branding is good enough. That lesson lands harder than another competent teacher who lasts until June and disappears.
The funny answer is comic relief. The real answer is institutional rot plus a headmaster who uses bad hires as education. They did not “accept” him because they were fooled. They accepted him because the cursed post needed a body, the public wanted a star, and Dumbledore decided an exposed fraud might teach more than a careful one. The staff had to live with the blonde disaster in the corridor. The students had to live with a teacher who could not handle a cage of Cornish pixies. That is not a plot hole. That is Hogwarts doing what Hogwarts always does: putting children in the room with the problem and calling it a school year.

Ryan Reynolds spent roughly 11 years trying to get a proper DEADPOOL movie made.

After his first appearance as Wade Wilson in X-MEN ORIGINS: WOLVERINE was heavily criticized, Reynolds kept pushing for the character to get another shot.

The movie sat in development limbo for years until test footage leaked in 2014. The fan reaction was massive, and it finally convinced Fox to give DEADPOOL the green light.

DEADPOOL eventually hit theaters in 2016 and became a phenomenon.

Imagine if Reynolds had given up.
