Hurricane tips for my friends in the path of Hillary and are riding it out:
1. Ziplock bag for your documents. And plastic trash bags for electronics. Also a battery or solar operated weather radio. Will keep you sane when the power goes out.
2. Use your mattresses and other items to block windows.
3. Download the Zello app—if you lose network connection this app turns your phone into a walk-in talkie and you can still communicate. It’s how ppl are able to get rescued as well.
4. Fill up the bath tub with water. 7 days of water for each household member. 1 gallon a day per person. Fill up your freezer with bottles of water 12 hours before so if the power goes out you’ll have cold water
5. Same with perishables
6. Designate a safe room. This room must be the interior of your home. No windows. If you don’t have then the bathroom is the second safest place.
7. Tie down your garbage bins. Or you may lose them.
8. Pack a go bag for each person. Clothes, medicine, first aid. Do the same for pets if you have any.
9. First aid is a must. Also, any prescription meds.
10. When the eye passes over you do not be fooled into think it’s over. It’s not.
11. If you lose power and have a gas generator DO NOT USE IT INSIDE YOU CAN DIE FROM THIS. I can not empathize enough. Too many ppl do this and they die from it.
12. Have an evac plan ready as well even if you’re riding this thing out. You need backup plans.
13. Idk how hot it is in CA but here it gets deadly hot after these storms leave. Pay attn to local governments because they will tell you where the cooling stations are.
14. Be careful when your first exit after the storm passes—downed power lines are almost always everywhere
15. Stay hydrated if you lose power and plan to discard everything perishable in the fridge.
16. If you have gas stoves you can still cook and boil water (if you lose access to water). You can also bbq if you have grill.
Most of all please stay safe and take this storm seriously. If your city leaders tell you to evacuate, then evacuate. Also, be careful if flash floods. People die in these.
Stay safe y’all.
There has long been an urban legend from 1976. Today, Dorothy Hamill confirmed that a competitor and her coached tried to run her down in the Olympic village. Watch the full interview: https://t.co/pILZT2xEQK
She is the mother of POTO, Hope&Legacy, Origin, SEIMEI and Heaven&Earth. Please, give some love to SHAE-LYNN BOURNE and her partner performing to "Firedance" by Bill Whelan on D2 of Notte Stellata (part two).
If you want to build a winning team, you must value all team members for who they are, not just what they do.
Every person, no matter how successful, wants to be appreciated, respected, and valued. Everyone wants to feel cared about. Everyone, ultimately, wants to be loved.
