@jasonsotelo567@potatoking1997@ArthurM31010867@kimmygrangerxxx@bxndicoot@OMGItsBirdman Tbf my man's a 36 year old, handcrafted, elite Call of Duty athelete, feminist. The king clearly is the second coming of our God Johnny Sins and has the power to be whatever he damn well pleases. To not be confident in your knowledge of his looks is to be expected.
@_eyo2b@FFXI_FFXIV@areszzjay The battle pass is a functionally free addition if you have the sub. You can convert the in-game "gold" to the premium currency and buy the battlepasses at no additional cost if you have the $15 sub. With FF, Trial aside, you can't even play the game without the sub.
@thistlefangirl7 Gale of Darkness for sure. I haven't played Colosseum, but it's also probably worth a try. They're honestly worth playing through just for the animations alone imo, they did 3d Pokémon so well.
@widoweverywhere@RL_Status@RocketLeague It was just handled poorly. Exclusivity can be cool, but when so many content creators and pro players got it handed to them, it feels like a popularity contest and defeats the entire point of why it was even introduced.
I’m 27 this year and I’m seriously thinking about trying to go pro in Destiny 2.
Bit of background. I used to be a national athlete in another sport. Never made it to the absolute highest level, but I was regularly invited to national training camps and selections. I just never made the final cut. So I’ve had some experience with serious training and competing, but obviously never made a career out of it.
I ended up going into banking and have been working as a banker since. I’m now thinking of quitting my job and giving Destiny 2 a proper shot instead.
I mainly play Hunter and Warlock. My peak was around Ascendant 1 Comp / consistent Flawless Trials before the reset, and this was with me balancing my work life, my sports and maybe playing 5-6 games a week at max.
I know 27 is pretty old by Destiny 2 standards, so I’m wondering if I’m completely delusional here or if there’s actually still a path into competitive Destiny at my age.
I’m not expecting to suddenly join abdulaimz or iAM or Primal and play at some MLG/GCX lan lol. I’d be happy to start from amateur or semi pro, play qualifiers, private tourneys, Tier 2/3 events, whatever, and see how far I can actually get.
I feel like my previous experience as an athlete might help a bit with the discipline and competitive side of things, but obviously being good at another sport doesn’t mean I’m going to be good enough at pro Destiny, especially since stacked Trials cards and pubs are leagues apart.
For people who have actually been around the competitive scene, what would you do if you were in my position? Is 27 genuinely too late, or is it worth giving myself 6 to 12 months to see how far I can take it? And more importantly, how should I go about with this path? Do I dm orgs my Trials Report / DestinyTracker and say LFT?
And yes, I know the sensible answer is probably to keep my banking job and play Destiny on the side. I’m more interested in whether there is actually a realistic competitive pathway for someone in my position.
@0ivvn@Virge He who condemns a master for a single hour of clumsiness is like the man who curses the sun for one passing eclipse; the darkness is brief, and only the ungrateful mistake it for the end of light
the fly can play deadlock
I've successfully trained the MaleCNS v1.0 fruit fly connectdome's 166,700 neurons using YOLOv5 and video pretraining data to play deadlock in a keyboard environment with attention-based aiming.
The fly has found the most success on Graves.
#deadlock
Imagine if teeth were flaccid and got hard when you were hungry that would be so tuff. Like your mom asks if you want sum to eat and you say no but she sees your teeth are hard and she says "don't lie look how hard you are for mommy" and then she gives you some food
@ailingbubbles For sure, but there also can't be too many type interactions for gameplay purposes otherwise electric would essentially sweep entire type chart with lightning being a thing
